Ray Wilkins

Ray was the epitome of a gentleman.
The real test of a man’s character is how he acts when he thinks nobody is looking - and there have been countless tales of gestures and acts Ray did without fanfare or seeking any publicity.

This story in particular always stands out when I think of him.

Always the same quote. True Gentleman.
Absolute Honour to have seen you in the Light Blue.
2 Years?? Wow!! Sleep Easy Mr Wilkins.
Gone But Not Forgotten.

Have vague memories of going to his last game for us at Ibrox as a wee guy. Can't remember who it was against, but thinking it was freezing cold and foggy, but I might be completely miss remembering that.

Watching clips of him back for us and his other clubs, he seemed a class player and also a well loved guy within the game. Sadly missed.

As already mentioned a few times! A absolute gentleman. The way a man carries Himself is key.Mr Wilkens is class personified.Something so British about him too in my mind .He even owned his problems with dignity. An Amazing man.Someone to look up to.
