Ronaldo asks to leave Man U

Yeah it’s nothing at all to do with common sense and logic. Buffon reckons Juve were worse off as a side when he joined too, but he obviously hasn’t heard the gospel according to you guys, and specifically your two mates, because Gigi probably hasn’t ever “kicked a ball” at the level these boys have when they used to play cuppy doubles down the school pitches :))

The situation at United has literally played out as many predicted, .i.e. he’s finished with a reasonable goal tally but the side have regressed as a whole. Anyway you’ve stated it’s the worst United side since the 80’s despite another one finishing 7th a few years so I’m not sure you can win this one, even more so when the current side (minus Ronaldo) managed a second place finish and a European final.

Carragher called it.

His scoring record was good but his overall performance for United was pretty poor. His showing v Liverpool at Old Trafford in particular was a disgrace. I don't think it's the blow some are making it out to be.

Don't know why he'd spend his twilight years in a miserable shithole like Manchester when he could live way better lifestyle in the US or Portugal, be a hero there and still make an absolute fortune with his sponsorships etc

Man United in general were a disgrace in that game (and all season really) TBF, and it wasn't him exclusive.

He didn't play at Anfield or away to City and they were utterly stinking in those games, could easily have lost 6 or 7 in either.

I actually watched that Spurs game - completely slipped my mind.

Rescued them a few times in the champions league as well which shouldn’t be forgotten.

Think there are a few Messi fanboys who fail to recognise that the major root cause issues of Uniteds failings last season were; 1. Having a gloried PE teacher in charge; 2. A make a wish centre back in Harry Maguire and; 3. Guys like McTominay and Fred in midfield.

Yeah easy for me to understand but you've clearly misunderstood the fact they got less overall points, scored less and finished further away from the league winners last season without Ronaldo.

The fact they finished comfortably in the top 4 says more about other teams around them.

Hopefully you get it this time.
They got less overall points because they took their foot off the gas for the last 3 games because top 4 was secure haha what difference does it make that they finished with less points when they had top 4 secured with games to spare as opposed to fluking it on the last day with Ronaldo, even if with all his goals? It's a nonsense argument.

I take it, by your own logic, Man United were better off without him since they finished 2nd the season before he arrived and scored more goals? :)) or does it no work that way?

The best thing he's ever done in his career is having his PR team con people into thinking he's on par with Messi, or even more perverted, better.

Other than goalscoring he's an absolute dumpling.

United will do better this season without him.

You wonder why Chelsea and Tuchel are interested in a guy who will only take them backwards.

  • Haha

Ran away from Real Madrid's rebuild, ran away from a Juventus rebuild and running away from Manchester United. Clearly didn't like the fact Ten Hag wasn't going to let him run the show this season.

Went there after finishing second and took them to 6th. What. A. Signing.

And Juventus major root cause between 2018 and 2021 was signing Ronaldo.

I must admit I enjoy it when the "must be Messi fanboys" comfort blanket comes out when there's no argument to be made for Ronaldo as if we're all rooting against him haha

Had it not been for his goals they'd have been about 10th

Or they kept playing they way they had been the season before and not focused all their game on Ronaldo and did well. We'll never know but he's not been a good signing or value for money.

Tbf Chelsea's last few forays into the transfer market for a striker haven't exactly gone down well either. Morata, Higuain, Werner & Lukaku have all been varying degrees of pish.

Sure enough winning the league in 19/20 with them and finishing second top scorer in Serie A was a major root cause issue.

What I enjoy is folk like you trying to somehow create a case for one of the greatest players of the game taking teams backwards as if he’s akin to Kevin Kyle or someone of that ilk.

You do agree he’s one of the greatest ever, yeah?

They finished 2nd and 3rd without him the 2 previous seasons and scored more goals :)) the only season he's there and coincidentally they have their worst season since Moyes and score less with less chipping in.

Could easily label the same at Varane based on that.

Finished in their 2nd worst points tally that season in about 5 years, downgraded again from the previous season (Ronaldo debut) and the season before that. The league was weak that year but when it got its finger out the next season Juve finished 4th with Ronaldo as the main man, funny that.

Keep hating on him mate if it gives you some satisfaction.

Bayern Munich want him, apparently.

Lewandowski wants to join Barcelona come what may. Barcelona getting an injection of cash from capital partners and the sale of Frenkie de Jong to Manchester United means they could get it done.

If that goes through, Ronaldo to Bayern Munich on a 2 year deal.

Bayern never do transfers that are short fixes.

Ten Hag wants rid of Ronaldo and many others, imo. He won't care where he ends up.

Think that was more to do with the fact they hired fucking Pirlo :))

Yeah they've been shite for over a decade. Still blows my mind they managed to finish 2nd in 2021

His ego is too big to take the drop in level to America or the Middle East.

I don’t think this becomes public unless he has something solid lined up. Bayern would be my guess, as the replacement for Lewandowski
At this moment in time I'd be buying lewa to replace Ronaldo tbh he's been head and shoulders above him for the last 2 or 3 seasons.

I’d like to see him at both Bayern and PSG before he chucks it just to see how many he can rattle in for them. I reckon he’ll be still hammering them in when he’s 50 at this rate fs, man is a phenom.

Yeah but he’s just another clueless hater isn’t he? His context doesn’t matter either, plus he’s probably not got the playing experience the 5 a-side specialist on here has.

Nothing crazier than actual fanboys labelling other posters fanboys for having the audacity to look at the form of 2 different sides prior to Ronaldo joining them and becoming the figurehead. I mean it’s common sense really, but I suppose if you’ve got a big enough hard-on for him you can just completely overlook all of that.

Anyway it’s funny and borderline absurd that a few guys on FF are putting up a more passionate defence of the player than actual United fans who’s primary interest is for the club and not some 37 year old primadona :)) And I love how personally they take it too. “Oh but Chelsea are interested”, aye same Chelsea that spunked a fortune on Morata, Werner and Lukaku, that’s lovely.

I thought Bayern had a strict wage structure as well. Doubt they'd break that for anyone.

Man Utd won the league in 2012 then finished 7th the following season. Liverpool won it in 2020 and scraped to fourth on the final day of season the following year, it happens… blaming Ronaldo for Man Utd failure is beyond laughable they have been dog shit since fergie left, under every single manager.

I thought psycho patter was only allowed in the transfer rumour thread.

I don't think, anywhere, I blamed Ronaldo for Man United's failings since Fergie left.

But cheers for your valuable opinion.
