Roofe and Raskin travelled with the squad to Cyprus.

I doubt very much a player like Raskin would be feigning injury so that he didnt have to play against Aberdeen.

Roofe on the other hand def pulled something the other week as you could see how angry he was as he came off the field. The SSB came too early for both of them.

Great news for Davis as he will hopefully have more options off the bench.

Need midfielders back ASAP, Roofe if it was just a pull or tightness should be fine but Raskin will need some minutes to get back up to speed.

There is a difference between feigning injury and not being prepared to play with one.

I don't think Raskin is either type.
The inference was that injuries would clear up quicker now Beale was away, I'm saying if any player was sitting out due to manager and not injury then they aren't what we need

If they are not injured then I agree. No good to anyone if you are fit and just don't fancy playing.

We have had 9 players injured in the last 5 weeks though. Just like we had when Gio's time was coming to an end.

Quite clearly some of those injuries are/were genuine but all of them?

Is it possible they have been taken to train in the warm weather for a few days rather than actually any chance of playing. Maybe Davis and the coaching team just want the squad all together to try and mend what is broken.
That would make complete sense.

Players eager to get back and impress the new guy in charge.

Don’t think it’s dishonesty, I just see it as part of the whole ‘new manager bounce’ thing.
if you are injured you are injured, you cant impress new manager until fit.
Anyone now all of a sudden fit needs to take a look at themselves

Raskin was noted as being the prime candidate to come back first before Beale went
Roofe was clearly overplayed due to lack of options, given that he was coming back from a long lay off himself

Why would the manager leaving change that?

Because a player who respects the manager, who understands their role, who shares the vision, will be motivated and the niggles become niggles.

Like any workplace, a good workplace where you feel valued and motivated, a small cold, you prob don't even notice. In a bad workplace, no respect for managers, no sense of direction, a sneeze and your of on the sick

As I say any player exhibiting that attitude can GTF

Surely anyone who can travel will. Don't reckon they will be feigning injury to get him out but mentally it may have drained some if he wasn't being clear and concise. Talked a good game and drew a lot of us in with it. Some the players he signed are poor and some current players needed a better calibre around them to rejuv them. Lets get these two games out the way and sit with 6 points in a good position and be no further behind in this league. All we can ask for the now

Maybe it’s just to get them along for togethernes and so Davis can have a look at them. Needs all the time with players closely as he can get.
