Rangers fans getting excited in La Ramblas as kick off nears. Sadly this was to be my last photo as I lost my camera inside the stadium with another 24 photos awaiting development. Spanish media were taking an interest as seen in next couple of uploads.

Same newspaper photograph us in La Rambla. The 4 others were American who were heading to Munich for the now infamous Olympic Games. The Americans came the game with us and enjoyed every minute.

The two guys in post #3 resemble Derek Johnstone and Derek Parlane - just the style of the time I suppose. Likewise the guy on the far left of post #5 - sideburns like Alfie Conn or Dave Smith.

And the guy with the Ulster flag has a wee RFC patch sewn onto a dark blue top. Replica kits weren’t really a thing in those days, kids.

We went on the Monday & returned on the Friday and a guy on our plane went in his Rangers strip & took nothing else.

Passport & money tucked down his red & white socks lol

Went with a London firm called Rangers Travel, set up by a QPR fan, he didn't know what hit him when the real Rangers fans booked the plane out solid, his face was a picture for the whole trip, bet he made a fortune.
