RANGERS are today delighted to launch its new RangersTV mobile app and unveil plans for a new innovative club website.

The RangersTV mobile app, developed in conjunction with new RTV platform provider StreamAMG, will allow RangersTV Subscribers to enjoy video content and live games across multiple devices and includes screencast functionality.

The new RTV mobile app is available to download on both Apple iOS and Android devices.

If you’re not already a RangersTV subscriber you can register and subscribe at tv.rangers.co.uk before accessing content on the apps.

As a further demonstration of Rangers’ investment in digital platforms, the club can also announce that Stadion have been appointed as Digital partners to provide a new club website and app in time for season 2020/21.

After a competitive tender process involving agencies across the UK, London based Stadion have already begun work on creating the enhanced digital offering for the club, including a bespoke club website and app that will fully integrate RangersTV and provide fans with the most engaging club website in the country.

Rangers Director of Marketing and Commercial James Bisgrove said: “Partnering with Stadion is an important milestone in elevating the club’s digital platforms to being best-in-class and fulfilling our ambition to have the most engaging football club website and app in the UK.

“We’re excited to unveil the new website and app to Rangers supporters all over the world and provide a vastly improved user experience to consume engaging club content.

“The Rangers board have provided a strong backing towards the club’s digital transformation strategy. This has included significant financial investment in modernising our digital platforms with industry leading partners, such as Stadion & StreamAMG.”

Founder and CEO of Stadion Lee Cook said: “We are delighted to be working with Rangers on their new Website and App.

“Rangers are exactly the type of club we like to work with; iconic, a huge fan base and a desire to innovate. We can’t wait to speak to the fans to get their insight and build something they can be proud of.”

Based in London, Stadion are digital sports specialists, experienced in creating a range of fully customisable and high-performance sports club websites.

Stadion’s highly customisable and continually evolving ground-breaking sports media publishing platform gives clubs the power to deliver fans the very latest content how and when they want it.

Supporters will be able to enjoy a mobile-first, fully responsive digital experience, with a matchday centre, integrated RangersTV video platform, up to the minute player and match stats, player news and much more.

Stadion can count Paris St German and Manchester City among their client list.

New website altogether coming too based on those paragraphs.

It’s not bad, would be good if you could customise the background but good to have everything in the one place.

As an aside, why are our press conferences not on RTV? You always need to access them via YouTube?

The website is FINALLY being updated. Thank %^*&! No more Stuart McCall as our last manager and no more Walter Smith leaving Rangers as the last part in our clubs history according to the website!

Not working. Let's me log in on the menu but try and watch a video and it says I'm not logged in.

Edit: Changed my password via the website and now working

On the website you buy games via “Subscriptions”... no such option on the app that I can see.

Ive only got a basic membership /login and I pay as I go...so maybe they’re forcing people to buy packages first?

Dont give yourself nightmares or start punching walls. A search for Ally McCoist offers you 2012 summer interviews.

Glad we are moving to Stadion for 20/21 cause this StreamAMG mob are pretty amateur with clients including giants like Leyton Orient, Charlton and Sunderland.

Is anyone else having issues logging in?

i can login on my computer fine but using the exact same credentials its a "no" on the app?

the error message is a load of gibberish that happens to list my login and password in an unencrypted state

Great move can't wait to try it out. The streaming on rtv has been dodgy last few games for me though.

Unlikley the app will make any difference to stream quality. The app is simply the front end, the back end infrastructure will still be the same.

Hoping the screencast function will be better, throwing from my laptop to Apple TV last week was terrible (although this might be an Apple AirPlay issue)

Click on the square at the top left.
Last option will be login
Enter your creds
Stuff will be tied to your subscription

You’ll still need vpn for live matches if you’re inside the UK.

I got logged in ok and can view the videos that are there, I just can't see where to buy today's game. I went to fixtures but there's no option to buy it. Maybe it'll come up nearer kick off time. I'm outside the UK too so no VPN needed. Thanks.

Don’t think you can purchase via the app.

Apple take about a year 30% cut if a company uses in app purchases. I’d imagine Google’s not much different.

Some companies charge extra (Spotify)
Some don’t allow them at all (Audible)
Likely you need to sub on the website then go to the app.

When downloading the app there was no “in app purchases” warning.

Won't let me log in either.
Says "couldn't find your email address" even though when I go to "lost password" and put the same email address in it sends me my (known) password to that address.

Reading the article again, that's what it looks like:
