if its any consolation when i ask it to send me the password i get sent a password that I don't recognise and doesn't work

Has anyone had any issues casting content from the app? Tried casting to my Chromecast, it appears to connect to the Chromecast, but the TV picture is black & there's no sound?
 
Type live into the search box. Says live coverage will begin 30 mins be4 kick off if you click on the live pre roll option!
 
Hopefully they launch the app on AppleTV and Android TV options. I know we can cast from the iPhone / iPad / Android devices, but having it on the AppleTV / Android TV directly would make it so much easier.

I logged in but had a message no subscription found so couldn't watch any videos
 
App looks good and can find the live TV. Can't see though how it can be accessed via a vpn for live broadcast.

Maybe if you can watch the game abroad your phone needs to go via a VPN - which both android and iphone can

This, this, this..

Enter ‘live’ in the Search box and one result will come up. Underneath it says ’Add to Favourites’. Do so (add it to your RangersTV favourites). Next time you want to watch a live match click on the menu button and then Favourites and your link will be in there.

Simples!:eek:;):)

Of course, you will need your VPN on if in the UK.

EDIT: Even better - “To watch the match live on the new RTV App tap the fixtures icon on your Android or iOS device. This will give you access to the match 45 mins before kick-off.”

I have a VPN on my phone, if I cast to a Chromecast will it work or does the Chromecast need to go through a VPN? No idea where I would start with the latter right enough

Yes I would imagine so as you will be on a different network. IF you have a router that supports it you could run a VPN from your ROUTER and that would create a cloud of all your devices on your network via that VPN tunnel.
 
Asking for trouble launching this on a matchday (I appreciate it was actually due out at the start of the Winter break).

I’m outta here until after the match - it will be meltdown central from the same old names ha ha.:)

Think I could set my phone as a wireless router, activate the VPN on it, then connect my Chromecast to the phone? I know it will use my 4g data but I'm unlimited anyway

My phone sadly still recognises I am not away on holiday to the continent. Can add a vpn network to my phones connections and connect via that if have the server details; even then not overly keen on opening my phone up to that.

Website it is; still good though for foreign bears and the other RTV content.
 
Does this mean you can use vpn on the fire stick and watch the games on the tv easier
 
Works fine for me and the live stream works on my mobile device with the VPN on. Game is on BT Sport tonight, so I won't set it up on my Firestick but all looking good.

You shouldn’t need to. If I were you, for the sake if your sanity, I’d stick to the website for tonight then revisit the App tomorrow mate,
 
Why do Apps require access to everything on your phone and permission to change all settings just because I want easier access to a subscription service?

Surely there's no need for all this .
*Add or modify calendar events and SEND EMAILS TO GUESTS WITHOUT OWNERS KNOWLEDGE.
*Modify or delete the contents of your shared storage.
*Disable your screen lock
*Have full network access
*Prevent phone from sleeping
*Connect and disconnect from WiFi
