It's not a signing thread so don't panic but he has been on top form for Partizan Belgrade a club with very demanding fans who aren't shy in letting you know what they think but 16 goals and 11 assists he only started the league cup semi against Aberdeen should he have been given more time until the end of last season rather than cutting his deal short ?

As much as all the keyboard football gurus on here will brandish him shite etc because of a couple of mistakes the truth be told he was never given a consistent run to truly show us what he’s capable of.

Clearly got something about him considering his performances this year and the fact he’s still employed by Roma. Has seen a hell of a lot more first team football than a lot of other 22 year olds too in a number of countries. All the best to him.

He should have never been signed in the first place but once he was in the door he should have been given more opportunities.

When Gerrard was asked what sadiq had to improve on to get in the team, he answered everything. Sums it up for me

I feel there will be a similar thread on sheyi Ojo next season. Banging them in somewhere for a team with a tonne of assists

He wasn't suited to our league and as ojo is experiencing a loan signing pretty much needs to hit ground running or it'll be very hard to come back from, loan signings don't have the luxury of being allowed a great deal of time to settle in given the short time they are here.

Remember him coming on against Livingston (I think) not long after he signed and he looked like he’d never played football in his life.

Partizan and that league are probably shite

I’ll never forget that horrific semi final performance against the sheep , so out of his depth .

held up the ball well against aberdeen , played generally alright. dive was ridiculous tho and had a poor attitude , weirdly was going to start a thread on this earlier , stats are actually better than OP says , he has 16 in the league and 4 in europa groups

Kilmarnock away. He came on for the last 15 minutes. Was caught offside by 3 yards at least 4 times in the space of 5-10 minutes. Genuinely looked like the first game of football he'd played in his life.

Never really got a chance, doing well in a better league.

Is it a better league? Red Star did well getting to the Champions league but they got humped when they got there, other than them no other side did anything in Europe,

All he had to do was stick the ball past the keeper but he decided to be Tom Daley and make a c unt of himself and us.He,s a f ucking nobody and his name should never ever be mentioned in the same sentence as Rangers.

Maybe just maybe he went back to Roma and realised what an opportunity he had here under Gerrard and decided that he would apply himself better in his next loan spell.

He was useful for the manager in that he was an easy situation for him to use to make a point of the standards required and if you don't meet them then you're out.

Playing for Rangers always has and always will take a different breed of player.

Umar Sadiq did not have the minerals.

All the best to him?

He said he didn’t care about us after he left, so the feeling is mutual as far as I’m concerned

For his second goal on Thursday he did exactly what he should have done against Aberdeen; rounded the keeper and rolled the ball into an empty net. So fucking frustrating.

Was more of a sprinter and fan dancer (except he danced around the ball rather than with it ) than a football player it was embarrassing to watch him, he needed his brain re programmed or something to develop into a football player.

Saw highlights of a game earlier in the season and he looked very decent. Has had a great season and must have something about him to have played for Roma rangers and partizan. But hes definitely not a rangers player. And it doesn't matter if he goes on to score 40 goals this season, it was the right decision to get rid of him

He definitely wasn’t as bad as is being made out.

His issue was he didn’t bother his arse in training or reach the high levels in training Gerrard set.

See the Aberdeen game at Hampden, he looked a very intelligent player up until the dive. His running off the ball and over the shoulder of their centre backs was really good but unfortunately the team at that moment in the season was finding it hard to break defences down and creativity wasn’t the best.

He’s a decent player but just wasn’t suited to us.

He was caught a mile offside about 10 times in the first half alone of that game.

He just ran in a straight line. Probably the least intelligent movement I’ve ever seen for us
