Sala signed potentially invalid contract with cardiff

Only "good" piece of information from this article is that Sala probably died when the plane hit the water and didn't drown, trapped at the bottom of the ocean.

sky news doing an incredibly good job on it at the moment
who the guy was.....heartbreaking from Argentina
also into the transfer itself

they had film of his very modest place in France......he didn't live the high life, went to a wee nearby church before games and spent time in "deep prayer"...they were in Argentina for his funeral, his pals talking about him...a very modest, quiet guy...tragic
they also questioned how the contract came about....well worth a watch

Surely it’s irrelevant whether his contract with Cardiff was valid or not? It’s the contract between Cardiff and Nantes that would be the relevant one.

Either way, it’s a ridiculous and distasteful situation.

Warnock got interviewed outside Sala’s funeral. His exact words were “he was my player.”

There was plenty of public grieving from Cardiff and their players. Funny thing to do for someone who wasn’t their player.

You can bet that if Sala was still alive, nobody would give a shit about what the contract did or didn’t say.

Absolute garbage from cardiff.

He wanted to stay in France....Sky was looking at how the transfer happened...that guy might have been manipulated....you all need to watch that sky news report

If every single Cardiff City fan was being 100% honest, they'd hope that their club would pay the transfer fee to Nantes as well as the wages due over the course of Sala's contract to his next of kin and then just put this whole tragic event to bed.

From a business point of view, I can understand why both clubs are trying to determine who is financially responsible. But, ffs, when 2 people have died, deal with the aftermath with some dignity. Sort the problem out behind closed doors or, alternatively, let the insurance companies sort it out.

Every Cardiff City fan will wish that their club will hand over in the region of £25m. Nice sentiment but unlikely.
