Any Rangers players involved? Are Middleton, McCrorie and Kelly in squad? Or anyone else? If so will tune in.

They should all start IMO i watched the game against Lithuania Middleton was the best player on the park on the night Mccrorie never put a foot wrong and when Kelly came on he looked like making something happen.

The SFA have been showing all the youth games via YouTube rather than trying to find a tv deal.

Might be wrong but I think that's just home games.

The under 19s game against germany tomorrow night is on the bbc though. Should be 4 or 5 rangers players starting.

Sorry for going off topic here, did the other youths win that tournament abroad? Think it was a few days ago and they had wont 3 out of 3 going into the semis or final.

Mccrorie looks pretty comfortable at right back, great block on the line. Middleton not been in the game much so far. Gemill has them going long a bit too often, not sure hes the right coach for the u21s.

When Scott Gemill is employed in this kind of role, you just know the SFA have no intentions of evolving the game and are happy to be left behind on the international scene. They think they know it all. Their arrogance knows no bounds.

Scottish football - and Scottish rugby for that matter - cannot claim to be surprised when loads of other countries have evolved/progressed, overtaken and regularly beat the national sides - when shite like this is in their 'strategy'. Hopeless. And then you add in Clarke for the full team. Pointless. Scotland currently gets it just rewards on the international stage. It's quite amazing.

The u21 squad is actually pretty strong too, a lot of boys with decent senior experience. But they've been going long to fraser horby more often than not in the 1st half, very little playing out from the back.

And that can be a problem. It's alright having some decent players, but when your philosophy is so out of touch and suffocates talent and ability then it becomes a struggle to make genuine progress.

Scotland seems totally reluctant to move from it's dinosaur traditions. And they wonder why we are where we are. The ignorance and arrogance is off the scale. "We're Scoatland - we know everythin' aboot fitba"

You see it with their attitude to refereeing decisions too mate.

Any country who wanted to encourage player development would have refs clamping down on the horrible tackles & aerial attacks we see every week.

This is an embarrassing backwater.

For me, this is the biggest issue as to why our game is miles behind the rest of Europe. We saw it coming through the leagues from 2012 onwards - the brutality permitted (in fact not just permitted, but lauded by many) is frightening and all the more so in the lower leagues. It is marginally better in the premiership but is still horrific. If our referees refereed games the way the rest of Europe is refereed then we would be in a much better place. That alone would do ten times more than all the "grass roots" initiatives etc put together.

Watching that was awful. There are a lot of good players in the squad but with Scott Gemill in charge it is almost as bad as watching Clarke's diddy's.

Absolutely agree Ald.

They all have this embarrassing macho BS attitude about it being a man’s game etc.

It’s humiliating.

Scot Gemmil at the forefront as leader of Scotland's bright young football players and showing the way to go, setting high standards of guidance with the future in mind...
