Gerrard's public backing seems to have lifted him. Some excellent man management by the gaffer.

It just shows that Gerrard knows who to take out the firing line completely (katic/borna last season) and who to make play through it, Arfield and Tav.

He has that mixture of finesse and being hard. He has a great swagger!! Love it when he is playing well.

It's helped him being in his natural position recently where performances have been improving. The first half against YB was the best we'd saw him in months. He may even push Kamara out of the team when Davis returns.

I dont think its any coincidence that he has been excellent since Aribo has been playing on the right.

The two of them have dovetailed and suit each others game. I am very hopeful for this combination in the long run, they have only just started and look great.

1 yes 1 goal in his last 21 starts and probably as many assists. He never threatens the goal with his powder puff shooting, when he shoots. Never
turns with the ball beating a man and creating an opening which shows a lack of ball control. Never produces a killer pass. For all the crosses we put into the box he is never on the end of any of them. Never pops up with a header at goal. So where is he ?

making ineffective square or back passes. We’ve blown our last 4 big games, contested 5 trophies and won none. He is one mainly responsible .Until Morelos gets some scoring
support we ain’t gonna win anything.
