Senior member of staff at Rangers was attacked earlier this week - confirmed James Traynor was assaulted

What sort of low life scumbags attack a 66 year old man? Entirely rhetorical question. Of course we all know the answer.

He’s not everybody’s cup of tea and I’m in the forgive and forget category.

No employee of any company should be assaulted for who they are employed by. This whole thing is getting beyond a joke. Had we not been treated so appallingly in 2012 this hatred wouldn’t be so intense on both sides. Most can’t deal with our resurgence and we can’t deal with how unfairly we were treated.

Rangers FC media chief Jim Traynor was struck by a 'rock while out walking his dogs', the Record can reveal.

We told how the Ibrox PR boss was attacked in broad daylight on Wednesday afternoon in Cumbernauld.

Police sources say they are investigating claims Traynor was struck by a rock during the assault near Stirling Road in the North Lanarkshire town.

It was at around 3.15pm while the Gers chief was out walking his dogs.

Traynor claims 'his position at Ibrox was what sparked the incident', when two thugs pounced.

His condition is unknown at this stage, however, police have launched a probe into the attack.

Racist and sectarian shouting against a Rangers black player and sectarian assaults on their staff is brushed under the carpet.

Scotland has become a cesspit, the SNP are responsible for this. It's totally despairing.

100% this lies at the door of the SNP whipping up hatred and bigotry. Their regular silence on these incidents is a sign of condoning the action.

And the sooner we stop blaming all our problems on the board, the more we need to spend our energies on the real enemy, the SNP. They have cosied up with sinn fein and probably getting advise from them on how to rubbish the unionist people. Yet this forum is full of the rangers board taking a caning. We could have the best pr machine in the land and still we would be up against it.

First thing is, we need to stop bickering among ourselves and I think the fact that there are some on here who are deliberately stirring it up on here, proves that.
 
From all the reports ive heard is that Stewart Robertson is a thourougly proffesional guy and well liked (lemodade apart lol) Im all for stronger characters on the board to defend the club its needed, but there needs to be a good balance of characters on the board as well. Im pretty sure now its not even in his remit to take on the fight with the media etc. We defo need a change in attitude with the board but as has been pointed out by others the attacks on our club go far deeper. We are being used as a political pawn by the nats to paint a picture of weakness to the scottish public in a bid to present their push for independence.

Whole thing is totally corrupt and well orchestrated

WITNESS APPEAL, ASSAULT, CUMBERNAULD

We are appealing for witnesses after a 66-year-old man was assaulted in Cumbernauld.

The incident happened on Stirling Road, near to a wooded area, around 1.15pm on Wednesday, 12 February, 2020. The victim was approached by two men who shouted abuse before throwing a stone at the victim who suffered a minor injury to his face.

Both suspects are described as early 20s, wearing dark clothing with snoods and baseball caps on. They ran off in the direction of Palacerigg Golf Club.

Sergeant Christopher O'Neill, of Cumbernauld Police Station, said: "We have carried out initial enquiries and are now appealing to anyone who was in the area at the time who witnessed this to contact us. If anyone near the golf club saw anyone fitting this description, please contact us."

Anyone with relevant information should contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting incident number 2233 of 12 February or anonymously via Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Baseball caps and snoods! Very much the kind of attire you’d see a certain group of self proclaimed “social justice” warriors! It could be completely random, but does make you think.

Correct. I work in the industrial estate opposite and no foot traffic to speak of and the village itself is very small and kind of isolated...
