For sure...
I’m sure it was a very young Jim White that conducted that interview in Italy.
It’s hard to describe to the younger bears, but that series quiet a big thing back then. There was no social media, no internet etc. Most youngsters relied on newspapers, radio and very limited tv coverage for football news.
Fast forward to the following summer and it was the biggest rollercoaster ride of my Rangers supporting life. 15 years old and every day seemed to bring news of some amazing signing or rumoured transfer. We signed the England captain, something that would have been laughed at only a couple of months previously if it had been suggested. He was only the first of many big signings to come. Ah, great memories.
