Alvaro Recoba.
The goals this guy scored were something else.
Left foot like a cannon.

The guy was a genius, just never really sustained it over a long period.
His left foot was a thing of beauty, some of his free kicks where ridiculous.
Good post op
Him and Battigoal where lethalPerhaps not a "forgotten player" but Rui Costa was one of my favourite players during the Ch 4 Gazetta Football years. Loved watching him and Batistuta at Fiorentina.

Yeah he was going to be world class and.never really got going at milanLentini. Most expensive player in the world at the time till he rattled his lambo into a wall iirc. Career pretty much ended at that point.
Roberto Baggio @ Brescia was just as good during his days @ Juve, always wanted a ponytail as a kid.

There was a Football Manager game back in the day, Hibs used to always get taken over and would buy him for about ÂŁ7m, bizarreGreat thread OP!
I'll add more later but Javier ChevantĂłn was one of my favs. An absolute goal machine who I thought would have gone to a bigger club.
Went to a Milan Darby about 93/94, inter won 3-1 with your man Ruben Sosa scoring for inter along with Dennis bergkamp and Igor shalimov, can't remember who got Milan's goal.I always liked Recoba. Also a favourite of mine was Ruben Sosa. Another with an absolute cannon of a left peg.
Giuseppe "Beppe" Bergom - The Inter captain when Ch4 started showing their games would tackle a brick wall
That Fiorentina top is an absolute belter (7up Battigol)Him and Battigoal where lethal
