Shambles at the turnstiles

I'm in but that's the worst I've seen. How someone hasn't been seriously injured. Shambles.

Making your queue then telling every at the last minute to go way over to the left. Police not interested.
Same mate ... me uncle never seen such

Be safe enjoy ... Alfredo up front might be a masterstroke WATP

Any evidence this is the case or just making up shite?
No evidence of it tonight but after every Euro game at Ibrox there's a thread on here so we know it happens.

Its happened to me twice at Ibrox where people have ran up behind and pushed in with me.

Sounds like Liverpool have some cheek complaining about Paris and the last club you’d expect this type of incident at.
Embarrassing from small number of our supporters earlier.... young fellas , but Embarrassing anyway near kick off .. focus now on next 90 minutes... No Surrender

The crush is at anfield. I said I wasn’t there but if you follow the twitter post I put up you can see from his pic the shambles
there is no twitter link in your post which was why i asked the question and to stop people jumping one way or tother.

I was approaching my chair settling down to watch the Rangers game on TV. At approximately 18:52 i received a whats app message from a trusted source informing me that the turnstiles had been closed as hundreds had tried to rush said turnstiles. I thought to myself " sometimes we don't help ourselves". At 19.05 approximately I decided to post these thoughts on a public forum which expresses opinions on matters relating to Rangers football club.

Unfortunately I was unable to retrieve CCTV footage or eye witness statements to corroborate the information I received to back up my statement that "sometimes" we don't help ourselves. It may have been the case that my source within Anfield was not being truthful or maybe they were just making up shite and it was perhaps Liverpool fans that had rushed the turnstiles in the Rangers end.

No further evidence m'lord

I think the only time Rangers fans go in without valid tickets is when they have been conned and paid good money for a fake. Seen it in PSG, Villareal and the Nou Camp but it never seems deliberate. In Stuttgart we were 2 to a seat and someone had a ticket that looked almost exactly like the one I got from the Travel Club.

So shite then

Was a complete joke the crowd mismanagement by the police trying to get in

Rangers should be loudly telling everyone what a mess Liverpool / stewards and police made of it , for that club after their history and the champs league final as well!

Lucky folk not seriously injured in crushing

I saw 4 pulled out the two turnstiles I was at in about 5-10 mins also plenty getting escorted out im guessing for the same. Bloke about 50-60 when we finally made it up refused to go into turnstile turns out when he did go in he had a rangers paper ticket from who knows what game.

but if proper ticket checks had been done prior to entering the 1st area for holding the issue would have mostly been dealt with `a policeman i talked to said that was the cause but that rangers fans just all went thru this was false i was out the park at ground a couple mins before the big march came up and there was zero effort to enforce any ticket checks but they will use that as their excuse.

My ticket was checked 6 times at 6:05. Never seen so much security, more than the piggery 7500 days.

Information in the stadium when they locked it was folk had piled through trying to get in ticketless

Dont be shocked, dont try and say it didnt happen theres folk openly on here saying they were going to try it. Having a match ticket in order to access a Rangers match doesnt apply to them. They are special.

When folk eventually got in, they were saying the police started wading in and the 3 chicanes of small metal fences had gone everywhere and innocent folk that were already through the cordon were getting pinned / crushed.

Just home from Liverpool. The way we were treated tonight by the police was nothing short of shambolic, bordering on barbaric. Continues to happen, time after time.

Just back, got to stadium 7:40 basically walked straight in, must have walked by 100 stewards and police, immediately leading up to turnstiles not one actually looked at ticket properly. Got to turnstile boy getting turned away with a fake.

how he managed to get all the way to the turnstile is a disgrace.

can imagine the mayhem this wouldve caused if it was earlier , as I’m sure he wasn’t the only one.

It was a shambles.

Shameful from the police and security who just looked on and didn’t react to the situation.

It was luck that no one was seriously hurt.

The ticketing checks were a shambles. Take them a mile back from the ground. Stop the penning of his fans.

It would stop a lot of the doubling up, which happens.

It certainly wasn’t the worst that some are alluding to. Wasn’t great as there were plenty of lads trying to sneak in with others. We got there about 6-30’and took us 45 mins to get thru. Bit of jostling at the front
The police or stewards could have set a ticket check up wee bit earlier instead of allowing folk to get down to the edge of the gates. That doesn’t help when ticketless fans then need to get back out.
I’ve always hated that mob and tonight reaffirmed that.

It defo happened.

The problem was no spot checks further back from the ground.

They let the entire UB march and countless others walk right up to the away end before herding us all in. There was plenty in that crowd without tickets.

Then when the police do eventually decide to start letting a trickle of folk through at a time the inevitable happens and people at the back start forcing forward causing a crush.

They made a cûnt of it not having checks further back on the approach to the ground. That would have solved a lot of issues.

Heard some people mention a crush but didn't see anything and there were spare seats beside me in the corner and the rows behind. So can only assume more people headed towards the middle section.

Unless the UB are getting an unusually high percentage of our away tickets every week, then clearly a number of them are sneaking/barging into games ticketless.

Seen it first hand at Easter Road and Dingwall.

They do a good job but seems to be a narrative among support that some fans deserve tickets more than others and sadly these boys seem to think the same if barging into games without a ticket is acceptable to them.

That’s why proper security should be in place. Not good enough
There was proper security. But what must have been nearly a hundred of the UB charge at all the stewards including their own Rangers fans, knocking over fences and supporters, what can anyone do?

It was embarrassing.

Well done UB.

If you mean the first ever CL visit to Stuttgart then the issue was a colour printer in the newsagents near the square we all congregated on. Someone worked out it was colour and copied well and the rest is history. Our own definitely caused the problem that day

There was ticket checks as we came out the park,I was at the front of the queue and it was terrible as I was pushed into a couple of stewards.

Very interesting / worrying situation. That is actually inside the stadium, the pitch is just behind that 124 board up the stairs. Police threatening taser use in a football stadium ?

I’ve already said my piece on those that think the world owes them free entry to Rangers games.

As other reasonable people have said.

If you arrive before “march” you are warmly received. If you arrive after it and folk have tried to enter the stadium ticketless, you are now part of the problem those around you created.

I've just said exactly that on the FSE survey .Proper ticket checks/barriers further back would have allowed fans to trickle through to the turnstiles

I arrived at the ground at around half seven. Was amazed at the number of police and stewards but had no problem getting in at all. Only today I heard there had been trouble. Thought it odd the stewards kept apologising on the way in.
Same here we arrived just before 7.30, walked straight through Steward said use any turnstyle. we must have been the lucky ones.
