Shankland 2 for Dundee bheasts

He seems to score a lot of goals but I will admit apart from that I know nothing about him. What type of player is he, out and out poacher or more to his game?
 
Jason holt got a good few goals at that level as did Nicky clark and Nicky law, we have moved on considerably from that level now.

Jason Holt almost carried the Rangers midfield in the second tier scoring goals for fun but couldn't make the step up to a more demanding league.
Such things are often difficult to judge.

Also because he is sustaining it, it would have been a gamble for sure but more than a few have been plucked from modest beginnings, a certain Alfredo Morelos was picked up in Finland.
 
If we’re looking at a striker to develop we should go for the boy from Linfield who is scoring in the Europa League and about five years younger than Shankland.

Nicky Clark sustained it for an entire season, something Shankland hasn’t done yet.

At this point, he’s a worse bet than Clark was.

Who the fùck cares, he plays for Dundee hibs and is a complete irrelevance. If he was good enough we'd have signed him sick of seeing this shit everytime he scores.
 
I think he would have been worth a gamble! Low wage, knows where the net is and would offer us something different! When Morelos and Defoe are fit another striker doesn't get a look in, but we could still do with one
 
Did he not flop when he went to Aberdeen? What is there to suggest he could cut it at Rangers?

He looked every inch a lower league player when he came to Ibrox last season.

HJK play in European qualifiers, Morelos was about 19 when he went to Finland. Dundee United are muck, second tier level and Shankland is 24 having failed to prove himself in the Scottish Premiership at an age where Morelos was scoring regularly.

The point was that disparaging the level in order to dismiss the player is unproductive
 
David Goodwillie and Rory McAlister has been banging the goals in for years in the lower leagues. Maybe we should sign them too and have them as a front 3?
 
In our current position we need a more proven type of player. Had we won a title in the last few seasons then it would probably be a gamble I’d be willing to take

Christ if FF was around 20-25 years ago folk would have been calling for a front line of Eddie Annand and Mark Yardley!!!!
