By the way, the entire line from Manchester to Carlisle is in England idiot - hence it having nothing to do with ScotRail. The clue is in the name ha ha.

It doesn't always work like that, Scotrail run trains from Glasgow to Newcastle via Carlisle so it is possible to go on a journey with Scotrail entirely in England. I know because the train I was on last Monday did that.

They don't go to Manchester though.
