Should a disciplinary stats table be a main feature in the tabloids on a weekly basis. ?

I don't know how many times I've heard or read fans of others clubs claiming that penalty incidents they've had denied would have been given to Rangers by the same ref. The indoctrination, media narrative, call it what you like, still runs deep in Scottish football, despite Celtc being the sole beneficiaries almost every season for less yellow and red cards, as example, in comparison to us.

No chance of getting something like that in our mentally challenged influenced tabloids. They’d rather fill them with conspiracy based nonsense and hyperbole rather than facts.

If our media stuck to facts then everyone would know that the mentally challengeds have had more penalties than us, had 1 red card compared to our 4, had 0 penalties against compared to our 4, had 3 opposition players sent off compared to our 1, and get away with a scandalous amount of bookable offences, many of which should have resulted in second yellows.

The facts paint a completely different picture from the narrative we are all meant to believe.

Get this in a table and out on twitter etc

They believe every lie and smear about us from that lot.
I know quite a few Hearts fans who I’m convinced are on every Celtic blog site 24/7 so they can rage at us just like the rhats do.

Don't see the difference it would make.

Stats are there to be manipulated, spun and rebranded.

Within a week, Celtic's criminal fouls to cards ratio would have them nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize and a photo-op with Winnie Mandela, the Pope and Kofi Annan's niece.

It's never about the facts, its about who is telling you them.

It would destroy any " penalty to Rangers " myth and Masonic refs nonsense which is still prevalent in the fanbases of other SPFL clubs. A simple table showing the clubs with most penalties awarded, conceded, red and yellow cards issued.

Why? Nobody reads tabloids these days.

They still do online, mate. BBC Scotland football website could also show a table for penalties, red and yellow cards, and update it as the season progresses. It would show the fans of other clubs just who actually benefits from ref decisions, and not who think it is.

They read them online. I think its a good idea as it would also show that their players are being allowed to go through games in same occasions without any cards being shown to them regardless of how many fouls they make

Should be on the SPL website at the very least similar to what UEFA does for their competitions - for example Europa league stats for this season https://www.uefa.com/uefaeuropaleague/statistics/clubs/disciplinary/

The agenda for this season was set at the celtic AGM and the 'penalty to Rangers' comment then they had the Rangers haters in the media like Richard Gordon taking up the baton as soon as there was a bit of pressure on celtic. We've already seen the consquences of that.

All of this not helped by some morons in our own support then wanting to make a joke / meme about it rather than fight back but that's another issue.

The media deliberately lie by omission when not informing fans of all clubs as to which club has the least red cards and most penalties. They would still be daily demanding refs award a penalty against Rangers, if we hadn't conceded 2 against Killie, one at Ibrox and the other last night. This nonsense could be ended if fans could see every week the stats for penalties, red and yellow cards.

Absolutely, only the Ostrich Loyal would be against such a publication.

That the main presenter of BBC Sportsound could get away with this horrific lie, even when in full facts of the stats for penalties, red and yellow cards is staggering.

98/99 maybe true B-) not now!

There is a drop down box for each season ! Back to 97/98
Thing needs updated has the wee japanese fella valued at 15m as leagues most valuable player. Pretty sure that is now Butland at at least 50m

The point is that these facts are irrefutable. They specialise in conjecture and paranoia. We’re talking about promoting irrefutable facts; penalties for/against, red cards, yellows per foul etc. All of these completely dispel any myth that we are favoured by referees, yet they are barely know in comparison to “penalty to rangers” nonsense.

Fans could check the stats table every weekend and not allow the media to spin the anti-Rangers narrative of most favoured team by refs, which is backed up by an absolutely ridiculous claim by the main presenter of Scotland's national radio sports station.

They could but there should be a way of getting this information out to a wider public. We’re the best supported team in the country yet we continually allow the to set the agenda

It's not as if the media are objective and fair-minded.

The media is packed with people who despise Rangers. Those who support Celtic and Aberdeen are quite blatant in their bias and the rest? - for the most part they either swallow the propaganda or don't care.

Cards received to go with pens in the link above

Where do we find pens conceded and red cards for opposition players

They are going to struggle this time round putting the pressure on the refs a week before the OF game with their paranoid propaganda.

Wont stop them though.

That’s why it’ll never happen…and I don’t think it happens elsewhere to the best of my knowledge.

Maybe ask someone to create one

Penalties for
Penalties against
Yellow cards
Red cards
Fouls per card

Someone could do this

I just checked and seemingly we are slightly ahead on fouls per card, which surprises me. Not the norm

33 yellows and 4 reds for 300 fouls for us

37 yellows, no reds and 278 or so fouls for them

Good shout, however entity fans would vote against this so they can continue their myths and lies. It gives the Paedo club a massive advantage.

I’d also highlight what penalties / Red cards were given on the field of play by the referee and what by VAR

Our first at Perth the other week being a prime example , a stonewaller but somehow the ref and linesman never gave it and it was left to VAR

Let’s shine the spotlight on the serial offenders

I’ll tell you what has been happening all season bar a couple of games and likely to happen today again.

Rangers with the bulk of possession yet conceding more fouls.
It is ridiculously slanted.

Now that I’ve said that it probably won’t happen today, especially if Callum Butcher starts.:))

We are often relentlessly fouled, yet we'll receive the first yellow card, Shengus.

Celtc have conceded only one penalty all season in the League, yet the brainwashed fans of SPFL clubs still believe there is some pro-Rangers ref conspiracy. Just bizarre stuff, tbh.

Listened to the Athletic at the weekend and they were talking about smart fouls and yellow cards.

On average it was 6 fouls per yellow. The best foulers were on 30 fouls per yellow. The worst were 1:1

That's some difference.

Watching Liverpool and Man City yesterday as soon as the opposition win the ball they foul them. It's often in the opposition half and never get a yellow for it despite it being obvious. Watch out for it from the filth on Sunday.

It’s called the drip drip effect ….. Tim PR machine has been in overdrive for years … this includes their fans infiltrating other clubs forums and planting seeds and stirring up anti Rangers narratives …. They are relentless and it stems from deep rooted hatred

Oh and by the way it’s worked a treat for them

Spot on. Even this late in the season, when Celtc are at the top of the table alongside side us for penalties awarded, the fans of other SPFL clubs only see us as receiving penalties from Masonic refs or some other craziness. It is mental, tbh.

Think you have answered your own question.

The problem we have since social media became a thing, is no one really knows the truth any more and even worse, even if it is 100% truth, people will just spin it to suit their own agenda. I'm not just talking about football here, it's prevalent in just about everything in our every day lives.

PR is essentially an industry set up to be economical with the truth, which has left many to give up on what the facts truly are.

The op correctly pointed out the facts, but many will choose to question it and so it goes on.

Part of me finds it all hilarious, tbh, mate. I only bumped the thread as I heard a few non-Old Firm fans complaining about the penalties in the League that we've received this season. Only us, nobody else. Its nuts.

Agree with you, but my only way of dealing with it, is to basically ignore it.

Either that or I would need to get a made to measure straight jacket.
