Singing section

Dear Supporter,

We're reaching out regarding the upcoming changes to the Copland Stand for the upcoming 2024/25 season, and your involvement in enhancing the famous Ibrox atmosphere.

After consideration of various factors, including your current seat position, season ticket history and participation in active support initiatives, we are pleased to inform you that you have been allocated a seat in the newly expanded singing section within the Copland Front. This development is a key part of our commitment to making Ibrox an even more vibrant and inclusive place for all supporters.

What This Means for You:

  1. Seat Allocation: Your season ticket renewal will reflect your new seat in the singing section. We will take great care to ensure that this change is in the best interest of enhancing our stadium's atmosphere and providing an unparalleled matchday experience.
  2. Active Support Commitment: Joining the singing section comes with the exciting responsibility to contribute to the active support at every match, helping to create the electric atmosphere that Ibrox is renowned for worldwide.
  3. Code of Conduct: All members of the singing section will be required to adhere to a Code of Conduct, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for everyone in and around the section. This will be developed in conjunction with the Fan Advisory Board and the Copland Moves Engagement Working Group, emphasising our collective commitment to maintaining the highest standards of conduct.

We understand that changes to seating arrangements can come with mixed emotions, given the deep connections many of our supporters have with their current seats. Please know that this decision has been approached with careful consideration and with the ultimate goal of enhancing the matchday experience and atmosphere for all supporters.

There is no need for you to take any action at this time. Further details, including your specific seat allocation and information on the Code of Conduct, will be provided in due course.

The manager has frequently spoken of the synergy between the fans and the team, and the critical role the support plays as we continue to strive for success. We are confident that the expanded singing section, comprising of supporters currently situated all around the stadium, will play a pivotal role in making our great stadium even more of a fortress and thank you in advance for your support and commitment to this new chapter at Ibrox.

Is it directly behind the goals or off to the corner again?
If it’s the former it would have made more sense to make it both sections directly behind the goal surely?

Are we expecting there to be more people in this new singing section to what's currently in BF1 right now?
Roughly about 600 going by info said at the BC meeting last week, think that’s slightly more than BF1 but could be wrong.

Got an email confirming my successful application, looking forward it. Hopefully Safe Standing follows in the near future but appreciate with the works on the Broomloand and Copland disabled section that might not be high on the clubs priority list.

Out of interest, what was your motive for moving? Shite seat currently, are you already currently BF1 or just want to be part of a singing section?
My seats in BF3 but I probably stand in BF1 for 3/4 of the season as it’s where the majority of my mates are

Mainly applied for a move early as don’t want to end up getting stuck behind

The Broomloan was solid to move into for years due to “everyone wanting to be there”
Can see the same applying to the Copland in future especially if the next step is Safe Standing

What is going to be involved in the code of conduct? Certain songs not allowed?
Says this in the email:

Me personally I'm already in BF1 and was very keen on the move.

In addition I'm in the back few rows which means if I hadn't been successful, I'd end up getting displaced in a year or two when they install the disabled platforms in the Broomloan.

I got in my 12 year son never.

Doesn't really make sense so looks like I'll be knocking it back.

Not had an email through yet saying whether I got it or not, my emails from Rangers always seem to take longer than others.

Delighted to see this taking off.

The Copland will look brilliant with displays.

Union Bears would do well to sell branded sunglasses for the new members.

Have the Copland bears been all relocated to BF1 or did they get the choice to remain in seats but just join the singing section.

We could’ve applied to stay in CF but we have the option of getting the new Cantilever seats which I’m taking up when renewals are out. Those who don’t want to take the offer up will be seated elsewhere in the stadium.

Think those will end up being cracking seats for you, will be a great view of the pitch.
