Singing the blues

Some modern day lyrics.....
Well I’ve never felt more like singing the blues

We’re loyal & proud, staunch & true

Ooh Rangers, you’ve got me singing the blues!!!

The 4 young lads had a beautiful dream

To start this famous football team

Ooh Rangers, you’ve got me singing the blues!!!

Established in 1872

The sea of Ibrox, magnificent blue

Ooh Rangers, you’ve got me singing the blues!!!

Well I’ve never felt more like singing the blues

We’re loyal & proud, staunch & true

Ooh Rangers, you’ve got me singing the blues!!!

We’re the most successful team in the land

Follow we will, with heart & hand

Ooh Rangers, you’ve got me singing the blues!!!

What a wonderful feeling to be a Bear

No one likes us, we don’t care

Ooh Rangers, you’ve got me singing the blues!!!

Well I’ve never felt more like singing the blues

We’re loyal & proud, staunch & true

Ooh Rangers, you’ve got me singing the blues!!!

We’ve believed in this team with such an affection

That we made a helicopter change direction

Ooh Rangers, you’ve got me singing the blues!!!

So many heroes & legends, we’ll always remember

We will never be beat, there is no surrender

Ooh Rangers, you’ve got me singing the blues!!!

Well I’ve never felt more like singing the blues

We’re loyal & proud, staunch & true

Ooh Rangers, you’ve got me singing the blues!!!

Back in 50 -60 s when a was a wee boy on the buss to away game the oldies would start on the way after a few goldies . Not kidding the amount of songs the y sung about Rangers and players unreal. We had one man Jimmy Miller used to sing parody songs about Rangers would ask you your name then sing it in the song brilliant. Unfortunately the old mind not as good as it used to be.

Absolutely love this one, my coach to Sunday's game from Ibrox - one older gent stood up to tell us about the older tunes and sung one that no one knew. We were sat at the back soo sure he was gonna sing the blues. We did our best shot at it but missed goals 4 and 5 for being a bit too well-watered to remember the lyrics but we sure hit the Billy McNeil line at the end with some whack.
