I was a member of the 221st Lifeboys and Boys Brigade, met in Cleddans Primary School, Drumchapel, we had good teams back then.I was in the Lifeboys and the BB. 234 Drumchapel, great football team at the time.
The B.B. was character-building.
Most of the knowledge and life skills that are still relevant to me today were learned at Primary school and the B.B.
(With the exception of Morse Code, now sadly redundant.)
I'm also a 556 brother and a 167 Hillington BB man!The Church closed Blue Baloo and then became the home of Lodge Clydesdale 556 ( my mother lodge )also Lodge Govanhill and Lodge Shalom where the grub was brilliant on a visitation night . Ah! the memories .
I learned 'Feed The Birds' from Mary Poppins, to date the full extent of my musical accomplishment. My exception would be being able to play 3 blind mice on the recorder. I'm sure I was pleased at the time.
No big surprise there then BB .That's the hall on butterbiggins rd (now a mosque)

Cracking band the Black Skull , look really smart .Aye...... I was in it once when the Orange Lodge I eventually joined had a function in it many years ago... I'm sure the Black Skull were the band in attendance
I was in the 59th too. 1976 - 198059th Mosspark. Old Crystal Palace tops at one stage, white with red & blue diagonals. Used to play the 167th, 44th, 34th as I recall, others as well I presume. That's if the old memory isn't playing tricks, which is entirely possible!
