Sky and BT will lose £1bn if sporting events are cancelled untill August

Globally I would say only Manchester United and Liverpool are bigger than us and them in EPL. Then Arsenal, Man City, Chelsea, Spurs and Everton. Remainder are really only big local clubs generally with local following. TV money accounts for less than 10% of income at Liverpool and gate money about 3%. This may change the attitude of Sky and BT for a while as I think any other approach would see a massive drop in subscribers.

You realise that your suggesting that Liverpool have an annual Income/Turnover of 2+Billion a year & only spend 12% of their turnover on player wages (when its likely 70% or so)

2018 - 455m Turnover ---> TV £220m (48%) Commercial 154m (33%) Matchday 81m (18%) (so 66% compared to the 13% you suggest)
Wage Bill - 264m
Profit (Before Tax) - 125m (This is after they sold Coutinho for £130m)

Compared to us they have ~3x higher matchday income & 50x the TV money, resulting in a 10x higher wage bill. They are gambling on trying to win the league & pushing far into the champions league for the prize money to even break even
