Something stirring at the scum hut?

Me too mate. Have never watched it in poet company and never would. Unfortunately still need to socialise with them other times due to being the other half’s family.

I had a good friend, Celtic minded, since died told me on a golf course that Rangers were broke ,had no money, with little hope of getting any .This was five years before it happened. He died before we were pronounced broke. Never have yet understood how he knew, he was a businessman not prone to talking rubbish, he was correct.
hhmmmm

Just read this which was posted on twitter after watching the Panorama documentary on British banks money laundering.
This talks about Latvian banks that were reported in the same investigation and one of the banks, Rietumu, is 33% owned by DD, the same percentage he holds in the Tims.
The bank has already been fined 80 Million Euros for money laundering I believe but you wont hear about it in the Scottish media.

https://en.rebaltica.lv/2020/09/what-the-fincen-files-reveal-about-latvia/
No coverage of anything negative to do with Paedo FC.

Scottish media has no VERTEBRAE.

Scottish football can’t afford the game not to be played, the TV money will dictate that.

I think today’s news just evens shit up in terms of the 6 month period of pain that the government keep referring to now.

as for them, personally they are in a far worse position than us as long as Covid is around due to their wage Bill and it’s the same reason why no one else with massive wage bills are spending major amounts.

it’s pointless though as the league is corrupt and they have the refs and the SFA in the pocket

Nobody should be in any doubt that these vermin never rest and are always up to something. It's been the same since I started watching Rangers over 50 years ago. The writing was on the wall when the biggest mentally challenged sycophant of the last 30 years, Keevins, was given his own column to put his own bigotted slant on this season.

Not seen it mentioned in the thread but did I hear Kevin’s right the Desmond was doing the team talk ahead of their game on Saturday? If so, that’s a very interesting change from the so called recluse.

Lot of people missing the point about the Gub’s OP on the Ferguson comments. Of course he would never have left Utd but it’s the PR machine that is the threat here. That club run the mhedia in this country. They have carte Blanche to publish whatever they want, when they want to.

According to many on here, the reason why you never hear of O'Fritzel and why his name is never mentioned by the mhedia is because he spends millions to keep it that way.

Yet there he was at the weekend, chuntering away happily telling all and sundry he was willing to double Ferguson's wages at Old Trafford to stop our bid for ten.

In 1997 McCann was three years into his five year plan, so I can only assume at that time O'Fritzel was already the power behind the throne.

Still his throwing money at them makes a refreshing change from upgrading their hovel at the taxpayers expense and getting a revamp of prize money via reconstruction six years ago via the SPL, then to become the SPFL.

Next up I spied a front page headline at the top of Saturday's Evenin Tims to the effect; 'Celts need to go to England, says Neil Lennon.'

Neil, how I wish it were so.

Within a year, the English FA, the English media and the majority of English fans would make sure your rancid club and support were binned forthwith.

What should be of note here is that the filth want to go to England, we can rot here forever. I do hope one of our directors had a wee read of it, I didn't.

Then we had a diatribe from Keevins yesterday on Microsoft news.

The nasal whine was hinting in a roundabout way that the up and coming first OF game at the cesspit cannot go ahead.

Fans from both sides would be milling around said cesspit 'wanting a piece of the action.'

Homes would be densely populated with punters watching the game.

Oh, and the pubs would be packed to the rafters with punters watching the game.

He then goes onto imagine that the 29th Dec fixture at Ibrox could hypothetically be played BCD too.

What is happening here, is that with the recent 'spike' in Covid cases, Hugh is more or less resigning himself to the fact that there is now a very good chance that there will be next to no fans will be allowed into the scum hut next month, and we can't have that.

As I say, I don't have a clue what is going on but their major powerbroker, the recluse opening up is one thing. A plea from their manager next and then to round it off weird ramblings, almost a plea from one of their chief media apologists yesterday to get next month's OF league game called off?

The filth don't do anything for nothing.

Well, toodle pip for today.
You may have foiled their plan by outing them mate,

No doubt something is afoot when they start using the media to say something.

your more than likely correct about them wanting the game rescheduled since they probably won’t get their way in getting fans in for the first derby fixture.

As you say, they don’t do anything for nothing. Something is afoot
If they go out of Europe on Thursday the last thing they need is a game against us because if we win the heat will be right on him for not buying players,

The OF game isn’t getting moved or postponed and there’s no coordinated plot between Celtic and the Scottish Government to get their fans in the ground either.

Quite looking forward to getting that game out the way so a lot of people can move on to their next mental conspiracy theory of choice.

I can remember as a young teenager back in the 90s reading the gub in the old FF fanzine banging on and on about how David Murray was taking Rangers into the financial abyss and i thot he was a crackpot.

Turns out he was correct.
That might have been a poster Cammy Fraser who posts on websites. He was virtually the only voice stating that at the time. He wrote for the Fanzine.

I've no idea what the post was getting at or why doubling Ferguson's money at Man Utd had any effect on us and our attempt at 10in a row. Other than perhaps they tried to lure him north but they obviously failed if so.

We know the control they have over the game up here. We know everything is geared towards them. It's not a hot take.

I think it was to do with who was meant to be the owner. McCann was still kicking around then - in fact right in the middle of his plan. Yet here we have Desmond saying he was trying to lure SAF to Celtic. Once before Man U won the CL and again in 2000.

Tim in the work on Friday mentioned that “Sturgeon hates football, she’ll take any chance to stop this game so people can’t gather in houses/pubs”....I said more like you lot will push for it to be cancelled so you have the chance of a crowd when it’s rearranged.
Rephrase that Sturgeon hates Rangers. You do know that her and Salmond blame Rangers fans for the no vote in 2014

The league can be happily completed now as they at last have the highest point per game average. That would tick the spfl box, and no need to worry about crowds or lockdowns either.

Just on the news there. High risk threat pish being looked at. No fans bla bla. These cunts are behind getting this moved for a second time.

Haven't read all the thread.

1 - Fritzel opening up to the press? The guy who makes Howard Hughes look like a publicity seeker? Nope, not buying that one. To quote Alex Turner; 'Oh, he must be up to summat.'

2 - The Lurgan runt? _ Yup, I suppose a regular does of this 'Desmond White' (see what I did there?) does keep the natives from looking too hard at their lack of marquee signings they have no intention of buying.

3 - I just wish I had copy and pasted the utter guff and ramblings of wee Spew and put on here so you could have been amazed and astounded yourselves.

Of course the landscape has changed over the last week or so and a further dose of restrictions look more than likely regards this nasty 'Billy Ray Cyrus'

But it was the wailings and fervid imagination of Keevins and the point he was really trying to make on behalf of filthdom. No crowds allowed at the scum hut next month, then it has to be no crowds at Ibrox at the end of December.

Sod the world getting over this pandemic, it 'jist I still prefer men be ferr oan ra hoops.'

Well, that's how I read it anyway.

Not sure about the OP but heard a cracker the other day regarding Celtic and that the virtual season ticket uptake has been very poor hence why the manager has been bleating about getting fans back in to the stadium nearly every press conference.

I remember commenting upon it at the time and it is a blatant plea to have the game moved. Now it could be that it is born out of Keevins belief (fear) that Celtic's form is currently very poor (he has said so), or he is sending out a message on behalf of his beloved.

I'd reckon it is the latter and that message will now be ramped up given that anorther 'new normal' will be imposed today. You'd like to think it can't possibly succeed but they have done worse already over the course of 2020 with complete impunity - I guess that's what happens when you have the football authorities more or less in your pocket.

Celtic and Rangers fans will only have themselves to blame if Holyrood pulls derby plug - Hugh Keevins
The first Glasgow derby of the season could have major repercussions

Supporters routinely hammer the SPFL board for everything and
anything connected to the coronavirus crisis.

But what will happen when fans are asked to do their bit to avoid the season being thrown into
 pandemic pandemonium?

It would be naive to think, under the present circumstances,
parliamentary permission for Celtic to face Rangers on October 17 isn’t coming under periodic review.

Why? Show some people in this country a lockdown restriction and they’ll ignore it.

Ask people only to meet in groups of six and the response will be: “Aye, that’ll be right.”

Household parties? Police
Scotland were required to deal with 405 breaches of Covid-19 regulations last weekend.

That’s 405 reasons to be
concerned about Glasgow derby day bringing forward an outbreak of spontaneous combustion.

How do we prevent any, or all, of the following?

● Supporters of both clubs
milling around the vicinity of Celtic Park for a piece of the action.

● A significant number of living rooms being packed with relatives and friends there to support one team or the other.

● Every pub, club and meeting place in the West of Scotland and beyond being thronged by rival fans screaming at television sets showing live coverage of the
 big match.

Bio-secure bubble?

I don’t think so.

Social distancing?

Get real.

Biological bomb?

Now you’re talking Jason Leitch’s language.

What if the National Medical Director shows clemency this
time and lets the derby go on while putting the public on their honour?
Only to find that, as a result, transmission of the virus increases to a worrying degree?

Who will the fans blame if the next Rangers-Celtic match at Ibrox is not allowed to go on because of their misbehaviour? You can’t blame Neil Doncaster if that
happens. He won’t be breaking any pandemic protocols.

The SPFL’s chief executive hasn’t had a social life here since he had to send his wife and children to live in England some years ago after they were left terrified by an encounter with a fan in a
 supermarket car park.

What if you can’t blame the Joint Response Group, Greater Glasgow and Clyde Health Board or Health Protection Scotland?

What if it is simply your fault?

Fans have to play their part in ensuring this season ends with 38 league games having been played and the title having been decided by mental arithmetic, rather than the mental cruelty of last season’s tortuous end to the championship.

Scottish football was torn apart in March when the lockdown began and it has never regained its shape since the leagues were called and the court proceedings began.

The game is on a war footing against an invisible enemy and emergency measures have to be taken to get the season over the line.

The four games between Celtic and Rangers carry the 12 points that will determine whether
 10-in-a-row is won or stopped.

Whether four derbies actually take place or not is down to the supporters who constitute the greatest danger to public health on the days these matches are scheduled to be played.

That is unless they’re careful and respectful of the need to stay safe and save lives.

The First Minister cancelled the last derby in March at two days notice when 50,000 tickets had been sold and the pies were ready for the oven.

It could be even easier for her to do it again this time if fans give her due reason.

Old codgers like me follow the rules.

A couple of weeks ago Lennon was banging on about getting crowds back into games hoping to build momentum for a bigger crowd come the old firm game.
The reality is its going the other way and heading towards no crowd come that day.
They seem to be choking on the cannon fodder they usually spit out and don't relish the visit of Rangers in the current climate.
The depths of dark arts they stoop to knows no boundary when it would suit them.
Its crossed my mind that they will indeed start making noises about getting the old firm postponed.
Deep down they are yellow bellied and can't stomach the thought of an even playing field.
Their assortment of recent trophies tells us this.

They have indeed started, using the excuse of people congregating outside and in pubs.

Re the OP . I felt the same way when i read Desmonds shite last week. Right out of the blue. EPL and then the Ferguson stuff , followed by Lennon adding fuel. Never read Keevins' stuff.
No inside info and maybe wishful thinking but I put it down to a deflection of them not being able to spend and bring in a better standard of player than their up coming departures. Timing might be wrong for that though.
One thing is for certain , the soapdodgers don't spout pish for nothing

Not surprising - and the reasons to buy one after the first OF game will be even thinner.

Both OF teams will need to release their results soon.

Since we're on the subject :))

Where does the Jimmy Ping thing come from? I know who it is, but I don't know how it came to be? I never use these daft monikers myself, but every time I see it I wonder, but then can't be arsed asking. Might as well ask now and get it over and done with.

It stems from his school days as he apparently got aroused when in the shiowers with his class and he was given the nickname as it pinged up.

Would you pay good money to listen to the gibbering of Michael Stewart?

I think it will get postponed, but nothing to do with helping them. It will.be done if the government believe it's the right thing to do.

What I dont get about the conspiracy theories is that postponing it would probably benefit us more than them at the minute, given the injuries. Fans arent going to be in stadia all season so it's not as if postponing it a few weeks will mean that there is a meaningful crowd by the time its played.

All about the money.

You do 25,000 tickets x £45 and add in say 800 hospitality at £200 a head average as well as 60,000 spending on average £5 on programmes and food.....

The notion that they mentally challenged bastards would double Alex Ferguson's salary (presumably the highest for a manager in Britain, if not the world back then) at a time when they were still very much penny pinching and falling out with their star players over money, is hilarious.

Re: "Jimmy Ping"

Not sure if serious, but will take your word as gospel. :)

People need to stop getting their panties in a bunch with regards to using other 'funny' names for players and teams. It's a long held Fanzine tradition of which the OP was a big part of back in its physical paper heyday, some people get it some don't.

My personal favourites back in the day being 'bag of sweets' for Larsson, 'Diddle me Agaptooth' for, well, you can guess, and 'One of these' for Cadete.

A few for our own as well, like Peter Ovencakes, Larry Burst tyre for our much maligned head of security at the time. The Cardigan for Walter,

You're not wrong.

The SPFL / Celtc can postpone the Piggery game in October if they wish, on the condition that when it finally takes place it is behind closed doors and with no fans in attendance.
What if by the time we get to that point they are already well ahead on points and the result of the game is irrelevant?

Or, the season is called due to Covid before we get the chance to play this game?

They lie, cheat & steal. It's in their nature so they will never not be up to something.

Jim Vinegar of Castlemilk was one that appealed to my sense of humour.
