RANGERS will play in front of a stadium full of children next week in the Europa League.

It comes after Sparta Prague were given permission by Uefa to allow kids into the game despite the match being officially closed doors.

Steven Gerrard takes his Light Blues team back to the Czech Republic in the second round of matches in the group stages of the competition.

It will be for the second time in two years after they were eliminated by city rivals Slavia Prague at the Last 16 round last term.

The game was supposed to be in an empty Letna Stadium because Uefa ordered the punishment after Sparta's Champions League third qualifying round match at home to Monaco last month.

A group of fans directed monkey chants at Monaco midfielder Aurélien Tchouameni after he scored the opening goal in the first half, and again when the game was over.

The match was stopped for three

However, they have now been given permission to allow youngsters only in the stadium, with only adults who are supervising the kids allowed in too.

Sparta said: "Due to the punishment for the racist behavior of some of our fans during the home match with Monaco, no adult fans are allowed in the stadium.

"But there is an exception for organised children's groups and we want to use it - we invite children to the Europa League for free.

"The invitation is valid for organised groups of children from 6 to 14 years of age who arrive at the stadium accompanied by an adult.

"At the same time, however, the rule applies that one adult must have a minimum of ten children and a maximum of 19.

"Admission is completely free for children and their companions."

Surely it will just be a few thousand, a full stadium would be taking it a bit far.

There’s no way that game is going to be without incident either on or of the park

I like the idea of filling the stadium with kids.
Why should the children be punished for the thoughtless and mindless actions of adults?
Football should always be played in front of spectators if possible.
I hope the kids see a wonderful football match with Rangers coming out on top. ;)

wonder what age the racists czechoslovakian's start teaching it to their kids

cant wait until we stop hearing about prague and the cesspit that is czechoslovakia

Tickets will be picked up by folk that they dont want in the ground, so will be interesting to see how strict they are with entry

When it comes to child development, it's been said that the most crucial milestones in a kid's life occur by the age of 7.

In fact, the great Greek philosopher Aristotle once said:

“Give me a child until he is 7 and I will show you the man.”

SPYT ya bass!

Probably too late.

Hahaha. So basically a full stadium them? Everyone makes sure that each kid has a supervising adult?

Mental.
Read the article.

So should away fans be allowed in to the match ? They never committed any race crimes

I think some community based groups in Prague may find themselves inundated with charity outreach volunteers from the UK in the coming week…

If there are any racist chants by the accompanying adults them UEFA should be totally humiliated by allowing this

It’s either a closed door game or it’s not

Never mind the racism. Imagine being the adult trying to supervise a 19 strong group 12 years olds at a football game. There will be weans everywhere !!
