Dates to be confirmed for all finals (except Premiership)?

Why?
2 of the Play-off finals are on BBC Alba maybe waiting for them to get back but in the past they have announced those dates and TV coverage

The Pyramid Play-off Final still should have dates mind you

Looks like Kelty Hearts v Brechin then. Hopefully Kelty are strong enough
Should be. Brora was the always the hard tie. Plastic pitch second leg now. I could probably pick 11 from this forum to beat Brechin, beating the officials may be different though.

Do Kelty have a plastic park? That's annoying

One thing I will say clubs in Scotland got right was implementing the play offs.

I have an interest in the Premiership ones being from Dundee I have a lot of Dundee supporting pals and would like to see another East Coast team go up (Either Dundee or Raith) and hopefully Killie and Hamilton down.

The Championship ones as a good mate is a Morton fan.

Also the League 2 one as I want to see Barry do well.

Previously we'd of been done weeks ago.

The finals should be a one off game though - 2 legged thing is boring.

Absolutely 100%

There isn't much excitement in our game and I know most people don't care about anything other than us. Looking at the bigger picture though it keeps it interesting.

The pyramid play off was also an excellent addition as it allows ambitious clubs to work through the ranks. I just wish they had automatic demotion from league 2 but its better than nothing

I think they should have a play off finals day at Hampden - a bit like the Rugby League do each year. The combined attendance is never going to be more than 50k so that's not an issue, so:

11:00 - League 2 play off final - Kelty/Brora v Brechin
14:00 - League 1 play off final - Clyde or Dumbarton or Stranraer v Edinburgh City or Elgin City
17:00 - Championship play off final - Morton or Montrose v Cove or Airdrie
20:00 - Premiership play off final - Kilmarnock or Ross Country or Hamilton v Dundee or Raith or Dunfermline

Would make it much more marketable, would attract a better TV deal although probably not great, and is likely to increase the overall attendance for some of the smaller teams.

Only change I would make to them is make it like down south as the premiership playoff favours the top flight team. I thought Raith would be the one to face 11th place but they've gone off the boil. Bit different with the formats in league 1 and 2 but as I say would be better were it the same as down south.

I hadn't noticed Morton ended up in the relegation playoff spot.

How good could it be if

Raith and Dundee don't come up, both were rats during the vote last year.
Morton go down, Easdales sink further.
Stranraer come back up, that would mean all 3 clubs unfairly relegated then get promoted.
Brechin go out the league, their behind the scenes cheating didn't save them.

Kelty looking good

The lower league games really should be on BBC Scotland. They've shown games nearly every week all through the season then the relegation play off is on Alba? Ridiculous. No wonder people don't take any notice of it.

I really hope Kilmarnock go down this year.
It's incredible that they always manage to stay up. They are the jammiest side going, when they have a bad season, there's always another team slightly worse than them. Lafferty will probably end up saving this time.

I was literally about to agree with you but FF crashed so I loaded twitter and seen this.

Typical SPFL a day late but starts for the second leg on Saturday for Raith/Dunfermline.

The reason for Alba is purely to boost viewing figures on the Gaelic only channel beyond the three shepherds and a sheep dog in the Outer Hebrides.

3 years ago Montrose had spent their last 22 seasons in the 4th tier and Brechin were in the Scottish Championship. Now Montrose are 2 ties from the Championship and Brechin will likely be relegated to the Highland League.

Updated OP after tonight's game = Clyde beat East Fife to avoid the play-offs

SPFL confirmed outstanding dates and kick-off times for some of the games today

On a day of bad weather the pitch would be wrecked. Non-starter, unless they played it on plastic somewhere.

The season before that Montrose finished bottom of the 4th tier and they won the play off and big Marvin Andrews scored the winner for Montrose.brechin never recovered from their winless season in the championship.arbroath are the benchmark on how to do it as a part time club

That’s a cracking win for Montrose, they had two good wins coming in to the game v Morton, beating falkirk then Partick thistle so going to cappilow will not hold to many fears for them.

Mon the Kelty!

I know someone that's involved with Dumbarton so I hope they stay up. Good result for Montrose today would be good to see Morton go down given how vocal they were about our proposal for change of the SPFL board.

Think Dundee will take care of Raith I know they won today but they seem to have gone off the boil at the wrong time.

Would be good to see Raith up in the top tier again. Don't care either way for them but it would be someone different to watch and would mean they have relegated Killie

So another plastic pitch to play on, nah no thanks.

The lower league play offs have captured my imagination a bit this season. Think it's been the ESL turning me off (even further) from the elite stuff.

Kick off times aren't favourable, but I'll make an effort to watch the League 2 final.

I assume my only way of watching it is vis Brechin's website?

How does it work in the Lowland/Highland League v Div 2 play off in respect what league the Div 2 team goes to if they lose.

I presume this year is straightforward that Brechin would go into Lowland League replacing Kelty, but what happens if a Central belt Div 2 team loses to the Highland League Champions?

Brechin will go to the Highland League under the rules they will just work with uneven team numbers if need be i.e 17 team League

The border is around the Dundee area

In the event of Club 42 losing the Pyramid Play-Off Match, it will be relegated to the SHFL League if its Registered Ground is located North of Degree of Latitude 56,4513N or to the SLFL if its Registered Ground is located South of Degree of Latitude 56,4513N and it shall thereafter comply with the rules and regulations of the relevant league.
