SPFL top-flight crowds are on the up

I’m actually surprised at hibs, hearts and mutton shaggers all averaging quite decent crowds between 16-18k on that list .

I thought they averaged around 10k.

Love the way the report states Hibs crowds took a tumble when the figures show they are down 345 punters per game

It doesn't surprise me the crowds are up. I think Scottish football is great to watch. Love the blood and thunder of it, and much prefer watching it to the Premier League with all its mercenary ballerinas.

Yes Pep Guardiola may have created an unbeatable team, one of the best ever, but it bores the tits off me. I actually turn them off. Didn't even watch the FA Cup final for the first time ever. Give me an old firm or us against the sheep any day. Even bloody St. Mirren v Hamilton the other night was better. Hard tackles, red cards, people getting stuck in. Its never going to win the Champions League, but so what? Its great to watch.

Even if it's on tickets sold, those 8,000 extra seats make a huge difference.

Even if their stadium is a midden about to fall down, it generates an additional £4m (approx) per annum from league games alone.

Stadium expansion is crucial for us.

I don’t believe their figures for a second, the camera never lies as they say.

‘Jumped’ by almost 10,000 over the season. A season comprising 228 games. So basically 40 extra people, give or take, attended each game.

Well if that’s not evidence that something is booming, quite frankly I don’t know what is?!

Mate they don’t sell them , and no stadium expansion is NOT crucial .

57k - aye right.

Wish Hamilton had got relegated - their crowds are shambolic as is their awful 'stadium'.

I actually detest English football mate unless it’s from the lower leagues. The Premiership is nothing but commercialised shite these days, pure tourist attraction

As i said, even if it's on tickets sold.

It's quite common for fans to buy tickets and not turn up....

At times before our return mate they had half a stadium full , they lost interest , now we are back they still only sell out OF games or some games in Europe . And remember they will never be as successful as now ever again .

Quite simply, if they have a stadium with a capacity of 60,000, I want ours to be bigger - even 60,001 would do it
