Yes it does, if the ball doesn't go forward it doesn't matter where he isDoesnt matter what direction the ball is played.he comes from an offside position so therefore offside

WrongBall passed back the way, can’t be offside.
Doesn’t matter if he’s ahead of the ballBall clearly goes backwards.
because it wasnt. if you read the rules the ball was played behind him when he was beyond the keeper, therefor not offside staggering how many dont know that.I’m surprised they never mentioned Morelos’ goal last week being offside.
The rule is in post #26 mate. The ball doesn’t need to go forwards. Be interesting to see what the numpties in SportScene say. No chance they will know the rules.Yes it does, if the ball doesn't go forward it doesn't matter where he is
Its the touch by arfield that i think makes him off. If the original ball had gone straight to morelos i think he was on.by time arfield had touched it he had moved offsideMorelos was onside last week, Arfield gets a touch before it goes to Morelos so he’s on again by that point
He's onside, the ball didn't go forward. Some people need to learn the offside rule
Ball doesn’t go forward from Matondo in my view.
I thought it was the complete opposite, I thought he was off when Matondo passed it.Its the touch by arfield that i think makes him off. If the original ball had gone straight to morelos i think he was on.by time arfield had touched it he had moved offside
Its where the player is situated when the ball was played, not the direction of travel. He's onside, the ball didn't go forward. Some people need to learn the offside rule
Yea i can clearly read very well thank you. Im simply stating it was 100% offside.no need to get lippy about itCan you not read where I said it was one angle, from their main camera high in the stand, if I saw an angle down in line with the penalty box then it may have been clearer to me but from the angle shown it wasn’t clear whether he was offside or not.
Maybe u should read the rules.well an up to date version of them anyway.go back and read post 26because it wasnt. if you read the rules the ball was played behind him when he was beyond the keeper, therefor not offside staggering how many dont know that.
Its a bit alarming how many of our own fans dont seem to know the offside laws. Direction of the ball means hee haw
Was not offsideThere was one angle that looked quite clear. Wee Tam never cracked a light on RTV though
Was not offside
The ball did not go forward from the pass
Stewart is disappointed we have such strength in depth now. Somehow managed to turn it in to a negative because we should be bringing younger players through.
He is gutted he has to talk about us, he is a sad bitter individualMichael Stewart saying we’ve bought too many good players
Jeez. Read the thread - or even just read post #26. Direction of travel doesn’t matter, he was offside. Was not offside
The ball did not go forward from the pass
BBC have shat it. Didn't mention it. They know better.. for this week at least.
Clearly has had an influence as they'd usually take any opportunity to spew over us.We complained to the BBC last Sunday.

Its just not fair is it…Imagine having the audacity to buy players to make your team better!
End of debate.Ball clearly goes backwards.
Yes you can.Ball passed back the way, can’t be offside.
Not saying Lawrence isn't a good player but play a youth please
Terrified at how good we might just be.
NawJeez. Read the thread - or even just read post #26. Direction of travel doesn’t matter, he was offside.
Think I must have switched off when he was speaking . I do that quite oftenMichael Stewart mentioned it, said he was offside but it was hard for the linesman the way it happened. Never made a big deal about it.
because it wasnt. if you read the rules the ball was played behind him when he was beyond the keeper, therefor not offside staggering how many dont know that.
Especially a new player like Lawrence, don't want him playing 90 mins in between CL matches but still want him integrating as quickly as possible, getting goals etc. Stewart is plain terrified. It was a strange comment. Agreed we have good players in the youths, but you dont get the same as you will from a 28 year old player.
Who gives a f**k. It's a goal, end of story.Doesnt matter what direction the ball is played.he comes from an offside position so therefore offside
