Match Thread St Joseph's v Rangers - 16:55 Tuesday - Premier Sports

First half a little flat. But comfortable and in control.
Second half much better, quicker movement and more intelligent.
Kamara, Aribo and Ojo really caught the eye. Very good players.
But solid victory and a few goals for what is the first competitive game, job done. Next round please.
To all the panic merchants calm down lads. F*ck sitting next to any of you at Ibrox!

An excellent result given the temperature and, despite the prematch 'threats' of onfield skullduggery and, looking at some of the s---- on here, why in God's name do we not have an ' unlike ' reply / response option ?

Nice control on the game, got a few gaps to close up when being countered but i think that's match fitness and time in the legs more than anything else. Hopefully that sorts itself out.

Really impressed to see Sheyi Ojo fronting every challenge that came towards him and taking players on. Dare I say he looks to be one from the Ryan Kent mould in what he offers allow other players to move around whilst he locks the ball up and moves it along.

Was a bit worried after the first half there but we stepped it up a gear in the 2nd and killed the tie off. Delighted with that.

Ojo looks to be a good bit of business, a good debut from him. Excited to see him in full flow when the season starts!

Was a good performance and again really happy for the new boys.

Happy for Barasic as well. Thought he had a decent game - however, an assist and a goal will do his confidence good.

Ojo looks absolutely superb. Big strong player with good pace and superb skill. Clearly a very good finisher as well.

Apropos of absolutely nothing, do we currently have more black first team players than we have ever had before?

Professional second half performance, safely through to the next round with no injuries and a couple of the new players with some action.

With two important differences.

A left foot and a finish.

Enjoyed that second half and impressed with Ojo. He’s keen for a shot and loves to place the ball in the most difficult place for the keeper.
Good job we’ve got a highly professional management team who will warm the players about complacency. 0 - 5 at Ibrox and we’re out!

Job well done, delighted for borna to get his goal an excellent taken free kick.one thing that was a delight to watch was Steve Davis no matter where the ball was he was available to recycle the ball.

Great second half. The competition for places is adding 10% to everyones game. And we have Ojo, Jones, Aribo, Stewart and Tav who can beat a guy and create space instead of just Kent and Tav last season. Excited.

Early on but Ojo is looking like a great loan and looking forward to seeing Aribo get up to speed and more minutes.

Disappointing first half but the team came out the second half playing some nice stuff. No injuries and 4 away goals can't really ask for much more.

Imagine football games lasting 90 minutes, must be a new rule change? Seemed that the knives were out very early on here...learn from it folks, this will be the norm in 75% of our games next year. Don't get hostile at a 0-0 at half time as we now have a management TEAM and better calibre of players to correct things.
Pleased for Barasic, Katic is a rock, skipper was always driving...Very good debut for Jones, Aribo looks exceptional BUT that midfield 3 of Jack, Kamara,Davis is like 3 perfectly formed clogs all complimenting one another. Defoe will score goals 100% but if there is no Arfield (or Murphy perhaps?) close to him then he doesn't start for me. Imperative Alfredo stays...can we just take a second to imagine Kent Morelos Ojo!! That front line would have moments against any side in the Champions League, imagine a Walter side with those 3 running through brick walls for him!
