Steve Clarke Killie manager

He’s an exceptionally good coach from all reports - a very sound appointment and will probably do more than enough to keep them up.

It’s a good appointment from Killie and a brave move for Clarke - realistically what can he do?

You’d imagine that he’ll have good contacts so may be able to get a better standard of loan player. It can only be good for Scottish footballs profile.

Probably one of the best appointments they could've made. Looks like the team may even have responded already to it.

a funny one. seems to be rated by everyone in the game but hadn't really delivered anything as a manager.
Took West Brom to their best finish in 30 odd years.
Took Reading to a Semi final only for their keeper to chuck one in late in Extra time.

He's done not too bad. Just a typical dour scotsman though

Highly regarded at one point but that fact he's taken the Killie job shows how far he's fallen and the lack of options he has.

I'm led to believe there were a few options.

The fact that he is a "local" and is coming up to retirement age I think this gig suits him. Plus it's a project rather than half a season that you get in the championship
