An incredible footballer.

Even before he took over at us, one of my favourite non Rangers goals was his screamer v West Ham in the FA Cup Final.

A goal that just summed him up.

For me best prem midfielder he had it all.
I thought thy before he became our gaffer

Best midfielder of his generation. Leaves the likes of Scholes and Lampard behind.

Leader, captain, inspiration. I don't know many players around who constantly rose above the rest and dug their side out the shit time and time again.

Istanbul, that performance from Gerrard was flawless.

Cheers for doing this OP.

I’ve seen you post these on the FF Facebook page too.

Gerrard was an unbelievable footballer

I was there for the important years. The emerging star, the Worthington Cup goal, the captaincy, Istanbul, Cardiff and beyond.

A better man than he was a player.

When Zidane says you’re the best in the world, you’re a generational talent.

It would've saved you time if you just stated he was simply the best.

I always wonder what may have been if he’d signed for Chelsea. Would mourinho be able to get the best out of both him and lampard. Seem to remember him playing wide left for England to accommodate scholes and lampard.

Dragged Liverpool over the line in Istanbul. A leader and superb player. As above has to be the best player not to win the premiership.

Oddly enough, I just read an article today on beating disability and it said Steven Gerrard was born with club foot. Didn’t seem to hold him back.
