Looking for a hand here FF, getting the subway tonight into the town for a very rare occasion don't fancy waiting in that queue after the game, is there any stations that are a further walk but a less busy?
Yes, Cessnock much safer than Govan. If using Govan be aware of mentally challenged scum hanging around. Safer to use Cessnock.
Cessnock or GovanLooking for a hand here FF, getting the subway tonight into the town for a very rare occasion don't fancy waiting in that queue after the game, is there any stations that are a further walk but a less busy?
I can remember running the gauntlet there in the 70's if I had decided to get the No. 19 back to Drumchapel. Adventurous timesIf using Govan be aware of mentally challenged scum hanging around. Safer to use Cessnock.
Kinning Park is closer than Shields Road.Cessnock or Shields Rd
By the time the subway reaches Govan it is stowed out and you will most likely not get on.
If you’re able bodied and fit enough, Central is a 40 minute walk away.
15 minsI usually use cessnock, about a 15 minute walk.
Your only possible issue with Cessnock is yes the station is quieter, however the train has filled up at Ibrox. Midweek games tend to be quieter though.Cheers all for the help, think Ill jump to Cessnock or Kinnin park, only got the subway less than a handful of times over the years hate waiting in the big queue
That's what I do, normally clears after 2 Newcy brown ales and a hot pieThe other option is to nip into the louden for a pint or two then by the time youre done Ibrox station wont have much of a queue left (if it all)
Thats what i do when at gamesAs above, pint in the Louden, then virtually no queue
Not if you go towards Ibrox.By the time the subway reaches Govan it is stowed out and you will most likely not get on.
I started walking to Govan instead last season.
Glad I do now. I've never saw the appeal of walking to Cessnock...trying to squeeze into the carriage that's already rammed?
Now I walk to Govan and can get a seat. I've never experienced anything that some people are hinting above that Govan is somehow more "dangerous".
Or just walk to St Enoch and get the Subway to Buchanan StreetCessnock or Shields Rd
If you walk at the best part of 8mph then aye, you could15 mins
You could get to the Quay in 15 mins ffs
