We brought in a CM (Hagi) and have played him mostly as a right winger. We need a CM that can score goals and a right winger.
Just one of the things Gerrard’s got wrong.

Our option to buy is exclusive, they're not allowed to accept other bidsIgnoring all other points in your post (no disrespect intended ) , whilst we may have an option to 'buy' Hagi, even if that is so it doesn't consider that Hagi could sign for another club, which matches our offer but which offers him considerably better terms.
That particular scenario would seriously depress me !
Hagi isn't and never has been a CMWe brought in a CM (Hagi) and have played him mostly as a right winger.

Would love Vydra but would settle for Dykes.
Hopefully Kamara can turn his form around!

That’s like wanting a Porsche but settling for a Lada.
Yes he’s the one. Not seen much of him to be fair but I’d never judge any player based on what a Kilmarnock fan says. He’s looked good against us this season.Do you mean the American boy with the Finnish name? I don't a single Kilmarnock fan who rates him.
He's a number 10 and has been playing as one, he's on the right of our press out of possession and otherwise pretty much has a free role.Really, so he’s a right winger then.
No he’s a number 10 much like mesut ozil is never a CM.Really, so he’s a right winger then.
That's more than likely already been agreed, don't panic lolI understand that but if we didn't offer him enough in terms of salary he wouldn't have to sign !

If you're going to slag Gerrard, don't be wrong in literally all of your points mate
Ah so a number 10 is a new modern football term for a CM, if I’m misunderstanding this number 10 role and it’s some sort of position playing just off the main striker then I can categorically say he is not being played that way, if your going to take a point about Gerrard personally then stick me on ignore, too many cry babies on here when it comes to him.No he’s a number 10 much like mesut ozil is never a CM.
Number 10 isn't a modern football term at all mate lol.Ah so a number 10 is a new modern football term for a CM, if I’m misunderstanding this number 10 role and it’s some sort of position playing just off the main striker then I can categorically say he is not being played that way, if your going to take a point about Gerrard personally then stick me on ignore, too many cry babies on here when it comes to him.
I'd say 1/3rd and that's without a player sale.Hagi at €5m, £4.26m give or take, is taking up a lot of our budget.
Everything you have described about this number ten position is not the way we’re playing Haji, infact playing somebody just behind Morelos would improve his game and most certainly improve our attacking side of the game, how hard is it for you to understand this.Number 10 isn't a modern football term at all mate lol.
An out and out central midfielder has equal responsibility in attack and defense, a number 10 has far less responsibility off the ball
Morelos Borna Goldson and Kamara are all integral players in our squad probably let 1 maybe 2 go at a push but 4 would require too much of a rebuildJust my input.

That is how we're playing Hagi, he does no defensive work at all once our press is beaten.Everything you have described about this number ten position is not the way we’re playing Haji, infact playing somebody just behind Morelos would improve his game and most certainly improve our attacking side of the game, how hard is it for you to understand this.

If you take the summer past we spent 10 million on Helander and Kent alone.Add in the fridge (750k) and Aribo's alledged fee including agents' costs (2m) plus fee's for Barker(200k) and Hastie (250k) and we spent in the region of 12 million after a season failing to get out of the Europa group stages or selling a player for any meaningful kind of money.I'd say 1/3rd and that's without a player sale.
Agree with all of thisPlayers out of contract need moved on. They are simply not good enough - I won't count Foderingham in that as he's a good keeper and deserves to be a number 1 some where else.
Halliday, Flanagan, Rossiter etc. Sorry but your time is up.
Ojo - no permanent deal.
At this early stage Hagi has impressed, Kamberi has done fine.
Polster, Barker, Docherty, Jones and possibly Stewart need moved on. Certain first team players need replaced and they become the squad players - it's what was required last summer but we opted for quantity, in wide areas especially. Now we play with two number 10's.
Patterson becomes back up to Tavernier - unless we send him on loan for regular football. If that's the case then a cheap RB with similar attributes to Tavernier is required as we don't change our set up and are reliant on attacking full backs.
Over on the left we need similar for Barišić.
Think we could do with a bit of added quality in midfield and who knows what's going to happen with Morelos?
Wide right needs an option too.
Any of our better players leave and they need replaced with similar or preferably better quality.
If it makes it easier to understand, see Messi playing for Barcelona. Clearly he is not playing right wing, however generally wanders out that way and his responsibility in the press is on that side. We don't play wingers, which is obviously causing problems for Kent, but that's another story. Our width comes from full backs. Hagi is not what we currently call a centre midfielder, however the position probably was called midfield in the days of maradona etc. Either way, Hagi has been playing in his position in a system that he likes, and actually spoke about this as part of the reason he wanted to play for us.Everything you have described about this number ten position is not the way we’re playing Haji, infact playing somebody just behind Morelos would improve his game and most certainly improve our attacking side of the game, how hard is it for you to understand this.
Looks like another busy summer. We still have a lot we need to clear out but don’t think anywhere near as many signings are required as in last 2 seasons. Needs to be quality over quantity this season.
End of contract: Foderingham, Alnwick, Halliday, Flanagan, Holt, Rossiter
End of Loan: Ojo, Kamberi
Sell: Barker, Jones, Middleton, Barjonas
Sell if Decent Offer: Kamara, Docherty
Loan Out: McCrorie (GK), Polster, Hastie, Kelly (would like to see all 4 get SPFL loan)
Loans (Sign Permanently): Hagi
Loan Return & Keep: Ross McCrorie, Murphy
The above leaves in the squad before signings as:
McGregor, Tavernier, Patterson, Goldson, Katic, Helander, Edmundson, Barisic, Jack, McCrorie, Davis, Arfield, Aribo, Hagi, Stewart, Kent, Murphy, Morelos, Defoe
Sign: 1xGK (loan), 1xLB, 1xCM, 1xRAM, 1xLAM, 1xFW
Very much doubt Murphy will ever pull on a Rangers jersey again
I would hope Ross McCrorie,Docherty and Murphy would all at least be looked at in the summer before any decision is made. All having pretty successful loan spells and there's an argument they should be here instead of the likes of Barker,Jones,Ojo,Flanagan in particular in the squad.Probably not but even after hardly playing for 18 months he appears to be showing more than the likes of Barker & Ojo have. I’d give him pre-season and make a call.

I'd like to think he'd at least get a pre season however he has been outstanding for Burton Albion so far, clubs down there will be watching his situation, only got 12 months left on his current contract, funny feeling we will cash in and he will stay down south where he is getting regular game time, he's 30 now and wont want to be sitting in the stands or on the pine week in week out. Just my thoughts but wish him well in his fight for a jersey given the chance.
I think Morelos,Barasic and Kamara will be our most sellable assets in the summer mate.We need to start thinking about who replaces McGregor in the long term. Could t be young Robbie? Do we need to buy someone. Newcastle picked their keeper up for a few million and he's very good so bargains to be had.
Tav has actually been way better at defending this season young boys away apart but goals and assists have dried up. Do we cash in on him or keep? Decent player but has value and question is who would replace him at right back and captain?
Barisic - I'd keep if others are sold to fund upgrades elsewhere. Classy and showed his worth particularly in Europe but still think more to come from him if we don't sell.
Katic - has had some great games and some awful ones but is young and can improve. I'd keep.
Goldson - is better than is given credit for and has had some excellent games with an odd bad one. Would cost plenty to replace properly.
Edmondson - young and full of promise and could be brilliant in long term so keep.
Helander - cost plenty, looked good in Europe not so good v Dykes. I think Gerrard rates him so he will be kept.
Davis - deent still despite age. One more year perhaps but then what? Doc? McCrory? Sign someone else?
Jack - keep. Cant see us wanting to part with RJ and rightly so.
Kamara - on his day can be excellent but may be sold if right bid received as is still sought by a few down south so who knows.
Arfield - has been excellent of late and is of an age where no one will pay big money so keep him for a year or two.
Kent - will be kept and on his game can be great. Needs to do it more and maybe others will be interested. Cant see us selling.
Barker - allegedly excellent in training but not seen much in games but would anyone buy?
Stewart - looks good when given a chance but not given enough chances. Useful to have but will he accept bit part role. Could have a bit of value but not silly sums.
Defoe - 1 more year maximum despite being great finisher.
Morelos - great player but a distraction and sideshow at times and target for bigots racists and refs. Can see us cashing in and moving on sadly but only if the price is correct. Who replaces him?
Hagi - buy if he keeps up his excellent play..
Docherty - showing up well for Hibs. Will he get a chance back with us?
I think we need to start from the back.Goldson had the game of his life against Braga but can he produce that form consistantly in the league.Edmundson looks solid and has a lot to learn at such a young age but hes deffo one to hold on.Mccrorie has done very well down south likewise jaime murphy.I think we need to sign hagi at all costs.hes not the quickest but i see him playing in middle of the park and carving up chances and finishes gascoignesque .
id want kamberi aswell, hes can hold the ball up(which we deffo need with our big punts up the field by greegsy wen he could play the easy pass but thats a diff thead)and not afraid to take a dig.

Started ten games and came off the bench several times, got injured a while back so been a bit stop/start but apparently he's started to settle according to a few who've seen him at games.Where does this McCrorie has done very well down south come from? He's on the bench anytime I look.
He hasn't been playing right wing. Do you even watch us?Really, so he’s a right winger then.
