Sun corrects incorrect "Rangers" story

Saw a story somewhere the other day about one of the young guys that died in prison recently. Headline was something like “Knife fiend dies in prison”. Accompanying the photo was said “knife fiend” standing in a crsmith era Rangers top.

They’re either needing more clicks or they’re trying to sully our name. Not really much more to it.
 
Stopped buying The Rhebel years ago, and the sun was the perfect antidote. But it is now as rancid or at least worst for "honest" mistakes in journalism.
 
It's not hard to get the basics right. Journalists just punt out any shite these days without checking. Then again, if it's a negative story about Rangers and it's the Scottish media they'll not give a shite whether it's real or not.

What would be good is if the media were absolutely f**king terrified of printing shit about Rangers through fear of being absolutely decimated in court. If only we had a board that just weren't willing to put up with it.

That correction is a very deliberate, premeditated two-fingers to us. They named us, but not his current employers. Contemptible.
 
Not that they would have printed it, but if they had called him a Celtic scout, a correction wouldn't be enough for Lawwell and co. They would demand Tim Bugler was sacked, and would boycott the paper till it happened.
 
I would also like to point out that there wasn’t an actual apology as such, merely a “happy to point out” which is them basically saying, get it round yees, we won’t apologise for being rabid rangers hating fuckpigs.
 
We need to bury these bastards, get them told next time they do it the club will make a statement to fans about buying not buying a paper that goes out its way to tar the name and reputation of the club. Hopefully a few thousand that don’t realise what goes on, will then stop buying it? It’s the only way to change things.

Case in point the murder of Raemon Gormley in Blantyre. It was a sectarian murder.

Except for the fact it was a couple of bitter separate entity fans that murdered that boy.

It’s pathetic what they will do for clicks. Even the broadsheets websites have no shame these days.

If they have a semblance of a story I am sure they trawl through peoples social media desperate for one mention or photo relating to Rangers (or the Yahoos if it is not a negative story), just so their headline can start “Rangers fan...”.
 
The only time I ever see a newspaper header is when GS puts them on everyday.
Even then, I pay very little attention to the shit they print.

It is incredible the amount of 'Writers' who dig up any old shit to tar Rangers and our fans. Alegiances of any writer / journalist should never influence a proper story but it is ridiculous the amount of lies printed which goes beyond football rivalry. I believe these people have sectarian motives and it is getting worse.

You don’t get to take people to court for saying they don’t like you or telling fibs.

In Scotland the defamation laws are in any Case so weak that it’s almost pointless to launch any case.
 
Ban them, tell the world why and say only a front page apollogy will get them back.

We cant go with the club burying there head in the sand over the press.

Happy? What the-f are you happy about? The fact you got a free dig at Rangers that was unjustified? Happy we’re not taking you to court over printing lies?
 
"Top Rangers scout" not a "top Aberdeen scout " or a "top Celtic scout " , shamelessly just looking for people who don't like Rangers to click on their site
 
Any and every opportunity these gutter rats get to attach our great club to bad/negative stories they go out of their way to do so!! It's a blatant, deliberate and systematic agenda!! The did something similar the other day with a Roy Carroll story re his battle with drink and depression!! Sensationalist headline about ex Utd keeper but the accompanying photo is him in our kit!!


It's got to stop, something has to be done about it!! Yeah they were forced to issue a correction so the club are clearly taking them to task so that's good but you can't unsee things, people would have already formed opinion, yet another subconscious negative association towards Rangers!! Subtle propaganda undermining everything Rangers, who we are, what we stand for, what we want to achieve and poisoning feelings, thoughts and opinions of fans, teams and general public against us!! It's abhorrently wrong and dangerous!!
