Official Sunday football - Updates & Discussion

Can sit here slagging them all we want but we need to focus on our own team and if we don’t buck up after two sloppy performances then we will have a title race on our hands. They’ve improved and will do so even more before the end of the month and to suggest that boy up front doesn’t look a threat is just ridiculous. For a guy who’s only been in the country a couple a weeks and still settling to bang a hat trick in on his home debut is impressive regardless of who it is against

This. They absolutely leathered Dundee and if our Alfie had notched a hat trick we would be crowing about it.

who is the clown commentating with hartson, any team in scotland coming here today would have got beat

We need to punish someone, put a marker down and leave the whole league in no doubt. We never throttle a team when we have our foot on their throats.

Whatever way you look at it results like that today will only build their confidence,at a time when it would appear ours Is dipping. A good result on Tuesday might go a long way to helping, but I seriously think we need a more creative midfielder.as doubtless they will add a few more players too.

Tuesday is a chance to lay down a marker. Not just a scrappy win (which admittedly will do to get by) but to prove this week was a blip and the team are ready to put it to rest and show they’re ready to stand up.

A good showing against Malmö and a quality humping of Dunfermline will settle some heads.

Never easy to feel optimistic in a week where we lose poorly and we see them win well.

Long season ahead but some pragmatism required from those either writing things off already or thinking we’re just going to romp it.

No evidence of either of those things happening so far.

Looking at the bheggars score.

Was this part of the deal?

1 vote-rigging & 1 skelping for 1 fat old midfielder & 1 training ground upgrade?

Lille goal ruled out

No idea why it takes so long for the decision to be made looked offside from the start

What the %^*& is it they shout at English games when a keepers taking a goal kick?? Ends in an ahhhhh

Annoys the life out of me :))

I wonder if there is any other sport in the world where a few different results send everyone into a meltdown. Bit of perspective required from the weekend I think. That won’t be the last doing Dundee get this season. It also won’t be the last time we lose a league game this season.

2 games in. Strap in for the long season ahead!

It's probably gonna be between Dundee, Livingston, and Ross County as to who is going down, so you can't be surprised if any of these teams get pumped of ourselves or them. We have had a poor start to the season and still cruised 3-0 past Livingston who are probably just ahead of Dundee.

We will know more about ourselves and them come end of the month.

A mixture of both making them out to be world beaters and also being disrespectful and making out that the league will be a cake walk on this thread.

Watched first 80 mins of their game. Christie ran the show, they couldn't get near him. Tbf, he was excellent, hopefully gone soon. Also didn't play a defensive mid, McGregor, Rogic, Turnbull were the 3. Kyogo scored 3, all very well taken, and really should've scored five as also missed a sitter and had one cleared off the line. It was his workrate that caught my eye though, he never stopped and will give our back 4 a decent workout. Defensively they weren't tested at all but they will get caught playing out from the back as they don't half take risks when doing it. Starfelt looked slow and uncertain on the very few occasions he was tested. Dundee were really open and looked very slow, zero pace in every area. They also didn't press well, 2 or 3 at a time closing down so out of position as the rest all dropped deep, making them far too easy to play around and through. If we let them play they will cause the defence problems but they still look very shaky at the back and have little depth to the squad. They are far more direct than we are though, will need to defend counters properly. Dundee were exceptionally poor though, they neither fully pressed high or sat deep as a solid unit.

Everyone has to just ignore them today, it’s too early in the season. Tuesday is the only thing we should be thinking about atm.

After what has our club has been through to get back to the top I am never showing the scum any respect ever again. We need to keep the boot on their necks, and do & spend whatever necessary to keep them there. The league is ours

How did McCann play for the B team?
Noticed him more 2nd half, played well but the team struggled for 30 minutes or so of the 2nd half, think just physical strength and experience went against them but they persevered well. Boy was good in the challenge. Wee team played well, number 3 tired early 2nd half but both wing backs are great prospects
