1-0 to Burnley, Vydra the scorer. Good news for those of us who want to see Ashley's team go down.

decent shout for a penalty before it too with Mee taking a kick
pundit seems to think you only get penalties for swiping legs away

It must be soul destroying if you're a Newcastle fan to watch their team under a complete dinosaur of a manager.

Kicking opposition player in the head is no longer a foul? Must've missed that rule change.
There was no difference in that and the Roofe one apart from the attacking/defending roles, all committed players all no intent. Why did var think differently?

Are you talking about that Roofe incident v Slavia?

If you are then the incidents were totally different.

Were all 4 players fully committed, with no intention and focused on the ball?

that’s my point, if you want to pick away at something else, wire in.

Yes but the incidents were totally different.

Roofes was really dangerous (unintentional but dangerous) and he deserved the red.

The high foot was nowhere near as dangerous but it should’ve been a penalty.

What is the point in VAR? It’s getting so many decisions wrong on a weekly basis.

gets plenty right too
like the Leeds red card yesterday

that Burnley incident isn't VARs fault - the ref didn't give it and the VAR ref didn't give it
its their decision making, not the actual technology

offsides are an issue when they spent minutes taking it down to minute details
but plenty of proper offsides are now given when previously linesmen wouldn't pick up on them

what was Dubravka doing there?
corner dropping into his hands and he chooses to punch it and almost punches it in his own net

Is he not coming back from an injury?

I’d argue it’s good management considering the changes he’s made have changed the game.

the last 12 games with A S-M, they've not won
if he's fit to play you have to start him

he was lucky Burnley weren't out of sight
