Surpassed last season's points total

Today brought us up to 69 points after 25 games.

When the league was prematurely stopped last season, we had 67 points after 29 games. After 25th game last season we had 60 points.

At the end of Gerrard's debut season, we had amassed 78 points. Looks like we'll also surpass that very soon.

Real signs of the incredible progress that's been made each season under Gerrard.

Were we not just 1 point better off at the end of the year, so this month has helped the points total.

Excellent. You have to be a special kind of idiot not to see the gradual progress made every year.

Should be a sign to trigger happy chairmen and unhappy fans that success isn’t always instant, even if you do have the right man for the job.

If we take the points from the matches this season, against the teams that we still had to play last season before it was stopped, and add those to our points from last season, does anybody know how the league would have ended?

They were 13 clear when it was stopped. We had a game in hand. We’ve won both remaining games against the filth so that brings it down to 7 points with a game in hand.

Just interested to know.
