I reckon for games like that when we aren’t breaking teams down we need a big striker who can get on the end of a cross. We are playing some attractive football but a lot of our players are similar.

If Defoe scored that chance in the first half - one he puts away 9 times out of 10 - it'd have been a different game entirely. It wasn't the wee man's day.

Unlike Defoe to miss them. However if he'd scored the early goal, you're right, they are forced to come at us and we get to hit them on the break. In saying that, even with 5-10 mins to go, St Midden were still playing like frightened chickens (except that one chance where I was a frightened chicken). Let's make it a point of blitzing teams like that from the start and get that early lead.
