My mate bought it recently.Amazing team.
I’m still trying to look for their 1998 home strip to buy but they are really expensive online!
He was there the season after when we beat them.I don't see our man Vanoli there.
He signed for Parma in 1998 and was on the bench for both of the ties in 98/99.He was there the season after when we beat them.
I thought they were a shadow of the side from the previous season tbh
From memory, they lost Veron, Balbo & Chiesa then added Amoruso who cost them £25m & Ariel Ortega. He was there the season after when we beat them.

Ok, some decent players in there, I think they were reigning UEFA Cup holders when we beat them, Cannavaro for me was one of the best defenders I've ever seen, even if he couldn't stay on the park!He was there the season after when we beat them.

That's some auto correct! From memory, they lost Veron, Balbo & Chinese then added Amoruso who cost them £25m & Ariel Ortega.
They still had Buffon, Crespo, Thuram, Cannavaro...and had added Ariel Ortega. In terms of squad quality and depth, they were just as strong in 99 as 98...obviously performance-wise we stepped it up second time round. He was there the season after when we beat them.

Amoroso, who had scored 22 Serie A goals the previous season, but he didn't play against us. He also only scored 4 the 99/00 season. From memory, they lost Veron, Balbo & Chiesa then added Amoruso who cost them £25m & Ariel Ortega.
He might have avoided a 2-0 defeat at Ibrox if he had broken sweatThuram played in all 4 ties against us (1998/99 & 1999/2000) and didn't break sweat in any of them.
Thuram played in all 4 ties against us (1998/99 & 1999/2000) and didn't break sweat in any of them.
The full game of this is available online. They were the better side first half but we were very good second half. We really should have beat them with the Durie header but to be fair they missed a few good chances too.Home game.

We could have been a couple down in first half but second we played well. Amoruso nearly sold the jerseys that night too.I’ll never understand how we didn’t lose that 1st leg at Ibrox. The off the ball movement from Balbo and Crespo was unreal (Hendry and Amoruso were in knots).
Veron was quite but his one telling pass led to their goal.
Yeah me too! Where abouts can you get it?Amazing team.

Him and Maldini around that time were the best. The best defender I've ever seen. A majestic footballer.
Worst for me is seeing Ian Wright's grandson making his senior debut.what a squad that was. Feel old that we are now watching Chiesa’s boy.

I can remember Duries miss clear as day and I was the same age as you. Was at both games but only remember them pretty vaguely. Remember our teacher telling us the score in an away leg when it was the early kick off.Was at both the home games.
Although I was only 6 or 7 (depending on which game), I can still remember both, as if they were yesterday.
The atmosphere at the 2nd home game would definitely be in my top 5 Ibrox atmospheres.
The best defender I've ever seen. A majestic footballer.
Great assist for Vidmar's goal!Thuram played in all 4 ties against us (1998/99 & 1999/2000) and didn't break sweat in any of them.
I was at the 99 game, still too this day the best atmosphere ive experienced. Some team, that. I was at both Ibrox games in 98 and 99, and although the later is the best I've ever been at, I always remember the 98 game being against a better team. Think Veron and either Thuram or Cannavaro moved on before we met them the following season.
