The BBC’s Narrative Remains Anti-Rangers

All weekend on both ITV AND BBC they have been nothing but complimentary about Scotland and genuinely wishing them well.

Reading through an article on the BBC about the changes in Scotland since 1998. It was the usual stuff with an anti-men slant and then I came across this beauty...

“In some quarters the shameful shadow of violence and sectarianism remains, as demonstrated by last month's violent, anti-Irish, anti-Catholic disorder by a minority of Rangers fans celebrating their team's league title in Glasgow's George Square.”

I suppose we should be thankful that they said minority!

That shitty BBC Scotland article reads like an SNP Press Release. Scotland is great, especially our civic nationalism and Chief Mammy, but the only problem are Unionist bigoted Rangers fans, the blot on the landscape of our nation.

Brilliant.

It's James Cook being James Cook. Someone who is now, like so many others, utterly dependant on the continuance of the Scottish devocracy. (He's the main journalist on "The Nine")

Over here there is alot of banter seemingly I'm a 'sweaty' sweaty sock or jock, cockney rhyming slang, I don't mind that but there isn't anything for English so I improvised I call him a 'bucket' bucket of piss English. He's no pleased.

No, they think all Rangers fans are pro-British and pro-Union, and they hate that.

So they have to make up lies about us.

(as an aside, the fact that they think all Rangers fans think the same way displays the real bigotry, prejudice and intolerance that exists within the BBC)

Ive sent a complaint this morning

The club ignore the hate directed at our fans.

I would argue we as supporters ignore it as well.

We piss and moan about it on here but we - myself included - don't really do anything about it.

We need an organised group who specialise in media influence to stand up for us. The tramps (celtic fans) have Call It Out - NBM - FAC and several politicians, academics, lawyers and media pricks standing up for their community - we have nobody.

The BBC are a disgrace, they are clearly pursuing an agenda with this.

Others in positions of authority and influence allow this narrative to be pedalled without challenge so I can only conclude many in politics and elsewhere share this agenda.

The BBC, nor anyone else, has anything to say about bigotry from Roman Catholics or fans of Celtic FC, whether in football grounds, in the streets, online or anywhere else. They only see the bigotry they want to see.

They are setting things up where the bheasts from the east are synonymous with Irish and catholic so it will be an offence to not like them. WATP.

In what way was the disorder anti-Irish?

Were we burning Irish tricolours?
Were we hanging effigies of Michael Martin?
What songs were we singing that specifically referenced opposition to the southern half of the island?

This is something the Nats and their media lackeys are actively trying to promote conveniently ignoring the fact that a considerable percentage of our own support identify as Irish.

I’d say that someone connected with the club should call it out, but I won’t hold my breath.
This narrative is annoying as %^*&, I couldn't care less about Ireland and the Irish.
