Leckie today has printed his second condemnatory article of the filth's trip to Dubai. He has Gone in studs up on the first minister, the SFA and the scum themselves and he has used invective rarely seen in conjunction with them, with any of them in fact.

He has branded the trip as '...a debacle whose jaw-dropping stupidity...' He has branded the main players as 'Spineless league bosses, then First Minister, then chaos-riddled club' in their ranking of blame.

As an outsider one might be fooled into thinking that this is a harsh piece, timely and relevant, which goes after the protagonists (albeit in the wrong order of blame).

When you look at the timing, however, it falls apart as the late, arse-covering, pathetic 'Well, I am doing something' bullshit that it is.

the Dubai trip did not suddenly become a fucking stupid idea AFTER Julien returned a positive test. The trip to Dubai did not suddenly become a stupid idea when 16 individuals had to self isolate off the back of the trip.

The Dubai trip was a farce, and called as such among the wider football watching world, the second it was conceived as an idea in the middle of a pandemic.

Hibs had a game rearranged against their wishes to allow it, the scum were allowed to carry over games in hand that should have been cleared up, and they flew for 6 hours, twice, in a metal tube to a public hotel in a country with worsening Covid issues. Any right thinking individual knew it was a shamble long before the fallout started causing damage. It WAS called out as a farce long before they first jumped on a plane.

Where, we should all be asking, was the condemnation of this idiocy BEFORE it happened? Dubai was no secret, they had lorded it over Scottish football and their own support for nearly 2 full months before it happened. Where was leckie calling it out BEFORE it so badly affected the scum and caused the FM to be drawn into comments on Scottish football.

The bottom line is that the Scottish media have a habit of refusing to report accurately or fairly on the scum's multiple transgressions until they are absolutely forced into it. Whether it is written media, radio broadcasts or idiots with a blog like the contemptible Speirs, nothing negative will be written about the scum until there is no other option but to write something negative.

We are seeing exactly the same play out with a far more disgusting topic at the same club, one 'journalists' seemingly fear to touch but you can be absolutely certain that when there is no choice but to condemn the scum, that is when we will see these utter cowards jump out full force, after the fact, after they could have done some good, after they could have used their position and privileged to effect positive outcomes, after they could have justified their pathetic, shallow, subservient existences.

All of Leckie's condemnation today could have been part of a catalyst for the trip not happening. A groundswell of opinion could well have forced the trip to be cancelled, greatly benefiting the public health situation in Scotland.

That simple fact makes you wonder what he and other journalists could have actually spoken out about, what horrors they could have gone some small way to preventing simply by asking some questions in a timely manner and once certain clear facts were well known.

Utter fucking cowards to a man and woman in Scotland's press corps.

Superb post though Id split the press into two categories.

1 Cowards

Maybe his condemnation is a plan to get the Goverment to stop the league.

I fully expect more of this sort of journalism to ramp up

Never a truer word written. The media are running about like bugs after a stone has been lifted. The scornful articles being put about must be hurting them inside. That, or they are lazy spineless bassas, who love to round on a soft target.

Bang on the money, the dying sports critics have chosen their battles for years.

The last few days have shown the cowards come to the fore as an absolute last resort, not because they wanted to but because they absolutely had to.

English, Leckie, Klaxon et al are sycophantic lapdogs who were forced into a corner by mentally challenged stupidity and weakness. Lets see how long it takes for them to revert to type.

They feel free to come out and attack now that which they should have, if they had any integrity, been attacking months ago. They need to be emboldened to do their jobs.

A wee note, had a PM about the use of the word Shamble :D

It was deliberate.

The only thing I'll say is and I'm not making any excuses for leckie, but I'm delighted this trip went ahead.

This is the best january I've ever experienced. No depressing month this year, it's been a joy to wake up to every day.

I'm no lockdown fanatic, but this lot take some beating. No winter break in the game itself, surely should have registered that this includes the clubs from going on a jolly.

Anyway, I'm off to make some rope, they must be running out of it by now.

Warm weather training indeed, train indoors.

Don't forget that the rescheduling of the game versus Hibs was an attempt to obtain a sporting advantage through a winter camp. Not only was this request a disgrace, the powers that be in the country invented some fake rules in order to afford them it.

There are bigger issues here however this part, where the club and governing bodies acted in concert to create an unfair advantage, against the wishes of the other club it immediately impacted, should have been screamed down as borderline cheating. In any other country it would have caused pandemonium, up here it was just glossed over. In fact I'm pretty sure we only found out because Leanne Dempster apologised to Hibs fans on twitter.

Any other club in the country and there would be outrage about that, with the tims their cheerleaders think its acceptable.

Imagine for a minute it was us in Dubai and came back to injured player COVID positive and all the others self isolating. Imagine the onslaught.

Very well put and bang on the money. These mhedia puppets have shown time and time again that they will only ever speak out or condemn the actions of that horrible club when there is no other choice but to.

HIbs were told that if they didn't fulfil the Piggery fixture, then they would forfeit the 3 points.

Yes, not afforded the same luxuries in spite of valid concerns.

That game should never have been moved initially and the excuses for doing so were risible. Borderline cheating.

The silence from the press is/was hugely embarrassing. They don't want a fair fight for the league, they want us hammered for any minor discrepancy (be it a trip deemed a stamp, a stonewall penalty turned down because they've painted a referee as favourable to us etc) and the tims to be allowed to do whatever the %^*& they want with no consequences.

Both football authorities are terrified to say no to Celtc regarding anything. The SPFL and SFA are run to whatever Celtc want, and the member clubs themselves, never mind the media, also say nothing.

Right on the button mate , the positive test and the photos got in the way of them being able to ignore the wrong doings.

The mhedia are primarily upset about their favourites falling behind in the league. They couldn't care less about covid, other than a stick to punish their favourites failure. Fuxx each and every last one of them.

100% spot on. Has any journalist questioned his apology. An apology aimed at celtic and their supporters only.No remorse or a hint of apology to the rest of scotland and the mayhem their irresponsible actions have caused to football and the safety of the public. Ignorant, arrogant rhat.

The SFA will need to stick or twist with the CBC CSA cases and SFA cases / report who will be the lawn to cover the other?

Bugs running, after turning over a stone? Great analogy.

It‘s been happening fo decades now and while they are free from the hell that surely awaits them, there are people who need to be questioned before they meet their fate.

Lets start here.

I am at this time listening to BBC Scotland yesterday's podcast, and I got to say I am equally embarrassed, and angry at what I just heard.

Firstly, let me say, I have a lot of respect for Neil McCann. More the player, than the pundit.
What he did on the park for us back DA's day, and Big Eck's especially is legendary. So that will never be forgotten in my book.
I have listened to his track side interviews on tv, etc.. and alot of the time, for me, he is right on the money.
But yesterday... was his worst performance... off the park.Bar none!!

His 'piece' on Lawwell's statement was embarrassing, and quite honestly, turned out to be more of an apology on behalf of Lawwell than anything else!
Both McCann and Willie Miller both said that Her Fuhrer's apology, was enough.Much welcomed, and it's time to move on.

Move on 15 minutes after one of 'their' Blog guys comes on (and it sort of pains me to say it) 'speaks well' (credit where credit is due in my book)...lambasts both their club, Lawwell, and Lennon...for their season in general, and points outs Lawwell's apology was an embarrassment for Lawwell himself, and the club, and points out that there was no apology given to scottish football as a whole, and it just showed total arrogance with the 'worst of than most' comment.

Move on another couple of minutes, and McCann and Miller after being shown up as both apologists on behalf of Lawwell, completely change their stance, and now repeat the same points as the blogger, and back track completely on their original stance, and now...that may be the original Lawwell statement wasn't enough after all!

Seriously Neil...using Sir Walter's vanacular ..."you just had a fckuin nightmare son" with that performance.

The media are, as per usual, not on top of this, and as per usual keeping a safe distance, because of who made the original statement. Their own supporters are ragin at what Her Fuhrer said yesterday, more than anyone in the media. The power this guys weilds over all these so called journalists is pathetic. Jackson, of course at the front.
Hopefully this arrogant dick (Lawwell) will get his jotters. which will demean the duties and power of the other members of the cabal, and god willing... we get Scottish football back.

And as for Mulraney getting a position in FIFA ...fkuc me!!!!

Says, it all.

It is cowardice; Unwilling to say anything right up until the point where saying nothing becomes the harder path.
Whatever, man. You can be in a perma rage about it, never accepting anything aside from everyone is a coward etc. if that is easier for you to get through your day.

The facts are, almost all media outlets, journalists, excuses for journalists etc. are the same. Taking them seriously at any time is pointless.

Celtic have bitten off more than they can chew now, media can't/won't side with them, hence Leckie's piece.

A little weird, but ok...

No rage. Cynicism, weariness, a little boredom at the same things happening over and over? Sure. Rage? Not really. Trying to get through the day? As said, a little strange...

Did what happened with Julien and the others change their trip from an Ok thing to do into a bad thing to do? Obviously not.

Did Leckie have anything to say about the trip before this week? Obviously not.

Does that make his faux outrage about an entirely public event, well after the fact and well after he knew it was going to happen a sudden epiphany? Does it make it him only just returning to civilization from a trip out of contact where he knew nothing about it? or does it indicate that he ignored it exactly as long as he could? Anyone's guess, but I know where my money is.

What do you call his sudden 2 articles in a week absolutely ripping into them after complete and utter silence on the matter before it?

It is a pattern with the Scottish media, it happens constantly and it is currently happening with a far more destructive topic

I find the perma rage at times on here weird. It is what it is.

I find effectively trying to pass off Leckie ignoring Dubai then going balls out condemning it as perma-rage a little strange to be honest. It is what it is indeed.
Me getting worked up over the obvious situation or pattern of journalism doesn't matterba jot, tbh. I assume you've contacted him directly to call him out?

Utter fucking cowards to a man and woman in Scotland's press corps.
what a pity that articles like this and others on here are unable to be published for public consumption, and allow our voice to be seen by the same readers as the MSM.

Again, strange...

who is worked up? This is a message board where we post our little thoughts for others to look at, debate and pass some time. Why you think there is rage involved, or that I would need to contact him to justify a forum post is, well, a little bizarre to be honest. This place exists purely for the function this thread carries out. It is why we are here. You included.
