When I read articles from way back when football was really just forming it fascinates me think about the world just before football. It’s such a huge part of life now that it’s hard to imagine the world without it. How quickly football crowds went from just being a few people round the pitch to massive crowds and how it all happened. If a wee 6 year old went to the local pitch to watch his team, by the time he was in his 30s or 40s he’d be watching that same team but in among massive crowds?
