The facts behind the SPFL’s statement. (3rd June)

That’s the link for interview Doncaster did with Richard Gordon on BBC. He’s asked about broadcasters being owed money. He doesn’t answer the question and basically said frank and private conversations would be had and it wasn’t appropriate to be had on air.

This guy is not incompetent and is paid 400k for a reason. To look after one team!

Yesterday’s SPFL/Celtic statement has omitted to tell us the truth regarding the finer details of the amendments to the SKY TV deal and the true cost to the clubs, so here they are.

The deal agreed previously was for 48 games per season at £25 million pounds per season (£520,833.33 per game)

The truth is that the figure of £25 million has been negotiated down to £24.7 million per season (£1.5m in total) and that next season SKY will be given an additional TWELVE matches free of charge, with the clubs losing £6.25 MILLION pounds as a result. Furthermore SKY will be gifted Celtic’s ‘flag day’ for being awarded this season’s title.

It has been apparent from the outset that the SPFL has sought only to look after one club, their corrupt practices are costing the remainder £7.75 million Over the course of the SKY deal.

The BT liability, of course, remains.
These bastards could not run a minogue.

To coin a phrase “ the Devil’s in the detail “.
Doncaster again getting away with absolute carnage and no one and I do mean no one seems to give a feck.

It’s US v THE FILTH simple as that, forget arse holes likes Hearts and wee clubs like Stranraer and Partick Thistle, forget mentally challenged led bullshit patter about sour grapes and yeez dug up yer pitch...give me a shout if the club finally grows a set and decides to take these filthy shameless low life b@stards on.

Why is this not of interest to any media outlets? It’s like no one is interested in knowing the real facts as they don’t fit with the pre set narrative? Surely the lad McDermott will pick this up and run with it?

As long as Neil has carried out everything to suit Lieswell he will be fine. Terrible deal and also leaves liabilities there which has a big affect on clubs.

For Cel%ic to gift Sky the flag day , they must have been part of the negotiations team along with the SPFL.

How many of the Joint Response Group Broadcasting and Innovation Sub-committee knew about this?

I am guessing
at least three but it would be easy enough for journalists to lift the phone to the others and ask.

And another thought. If Sky are doing an extra 12 games this season those games won't be able to be streamed denying the home team revenue from those fixtures (I assume this will involve one extra home game from each of the twelve clubs). In other words every club is being stiffed for this.

The other 41 SPFL clubs have paid for Celtic to be given the title. And they voted to do so. They may not have had all relevant information to inform their vote but they have paid to hand Celtic a title they did not win.

The potential liabilities that would result from the vote is a point that clubs should be pursuing but they seem to be accepting of picking up the tab for Celtic's title gift.

I'd say the c**** couldn't run a bath but it's the polar opposite, they have done everything in their power to ensure the poets get a clear run at what they will claim (whilst we all laugh) 10 consecutive titles.
Watch how the rules are bent to change the OF games around to suit them, as bent refs look straight at obvious decisions and claim they never saw them, and as bent officials refuse to make any calls when it counts.
Had enough of this fuckin shit show.
For the record Rangers should publicly refuse to accept any liability whether it's a payment from the Club or decreased payment later citing the fact they opposed this stupid decision in the first place. They should be making it pretty fucking obvious that games bcd could have closed this season off also citing the likes of Denmark.
Cause as much unrest and disruption as possible.

Great post and details.Yeah makes you sick how corrupt the SPFL/Celtic are, when during the week they were saying this deal will save Scottish football.e.g. Motherwell.Thank God we have Rangers men trying to better our club and fight enemies at same time.
