The Juniors - 24/25 Season

Here's hoping for an outbreak of fitba from the visitors, but I won't hold my breath.

Not that you'll be caring a jot mate. ;)
Got a few Pollok supporting pals so I don’t mind them winning - as long as they don’t actually win a trophy :D

Definitely not a fan of Saint Cadocs so an away win wouldn’t be the worse result. And, if we can win tomorrow, that would put Cumnock further in the mire.

Hear, hear re St Cadocs mate. The 'home' support if you can call it that, will number in the tens and if I were to stand near them (not that I will again) all I would hear is their Oirish names and bleating on about Sunday and how come Cerny isn't up in front of the beaks yet.

Hopefully, the players play with a bit of pride and can conjure a win. I can't see it though because they sure as hell ain't busting a gut for the manager.

The home “support “ is more or less family and friends and mostly Celtic fans , except for the goalie who is a bluenose through and through as is his auld man who would have been well know at “Murray park “ in the day

East of Scotland results:

First Division
Whitehill Welfare 1-3 Edinburgh South

Second Division
Dalkeith Thistle 0-1 Stirling Uni

East of Scotland Cup Final
Kelty Hearts 2-1 The Spartans

What a strange surface seemed to be dead in parts , first time I’ve heard silence at full time when home team win
Was the same v Clydebank a few weeks back. They equalised at holm park and couldn’t hear a single celebration apart from the dugout

Talbot hit the woodwork three times in the first hour.
I know :(

Then, at 2-1, our keeper spills one and it really should’ve been 2-2.

However, keeps us closer to the top of the league than the bottom

Cup semi final to look forward to on Saturday noo

Maryhill v Whitletts for me.

See the Vics stay top hopefully then a wee jaunt out in Glasgow after.

How good are the haws? I’m thinking it’ll be a very tougher game v them tomorrow.

They’re a decent team, Colin. The only club to come close to challenging Musselburgh at the top of the Premier and I think everyone has been impressed by them this season. Tight games against Broxburn last season.

It’s another interesting East/West tie.

Thanks for both teams for coming in for sausage rolls and sandwiches.
Welcome back anytime.
Thank you.

Even worse Darvel were winning 1-0. Burgh bring on 6 subs. Lafferty was the 6th. He wins a penalty. The ref then tells him he needs to go off and they’re allowed to bring back on the guy who was subbed. Burgh score and go on to win.

Would’ve been ok had the lineo been from new Cumnock as he could’ve counted the subs on the fingers of one hand.

Darvel have a released a statement about it

Good for them. Hope they take it all the way.

Officials at our game were bad but not that bad. Just. Haws #5 commits a foul and the ref calls him over to talk to him. Player kicks the ball away. Ref then seems to consult with his assistant. He then, inexplicably cautions haws #3 who was much shorter and more bald. Anyway, was a stick on that the left back would commit another foul - which he did - and was sent off for a second bookable offence. The haws 5 is then also cautioned and that should’ve been his second. But no. Because the officials fucked it.

Tallest team I ever seen in years :D was like the Harlem globetrotters

Made the short journey down the M77 to Blair Park to see Pollok outplayed and outfought by an enterprising Hurlford Utd side who played with a freedom and confidence which belied their lowly, uncharacteristic position in the table - 'Ford's opener the pick of the bunch of four good goals.

If it weren't for skipper Calum Gow the scoreline might've been a tad more embarrassing for the visitors.
Some good, friendly chat with the locals and a thoroughly deserved three points for the hosts.

Stewart Maxwell cut a lonesome figure in the away dugout as the Southsiders slump to yet another dismal defeat. He has it all to do in the eyes of the Lok faithful as the travelling support must surely now be asking questions about his future despite the obvious mitigating financial factors.

Crazy events transpired at Johnstone Burgh today.....

Home manager puts on 1 sub in the first half.... 3 in the second half and then another 2 subs with about 20 to go..... (yes you did read that correctly 6 subs) the fans are going mental trying to alert the manager to the fact that Big Lafferty is sub No6.... manager dingies the fans and puts lafferty on, ref allows it, so does the lino....

Darvel are going mental at the lino and the ref, the fans are incandescent with rage at their manager for putting sub no6 on....

Ref restarts game bizarrely

Darvel are going nuts at this point, home fans are franticly goggling and finding out that the sanction is "the game is forfeited"

Another done a Google search and the law of the game says:

"the substitution is completed when the player leaves the field of play, at this point the substituted player must stay within the technical area or changing room and can take no further part in the game"

The game is still ongoing at this point but it gets worse.... Big Lafferty, just put on as the 6th sub has an involvement in winning JB a soft penalty.... crazy.....

The lino opens his book under Darvel pressure and begins to count using his hands.... 1, 2, 3 , 4, 5, 6... duuuuhhhh and he signals the referee before JB take their penalty kick.... so the ref runs over and is mobbed by home and away players and coaches.....

The ref took a while to count, maybe it's difficult to count to 6 under pressure???

For some reason the ref then calls over Lafferty and says "GET AFF LAFF" and allows the JB substituted player to come back on the park

WTAF is going on here???? Comedy of errors....

And it gets worse..... the ref restarts the game and allows the penalty kick to stand, so the guy who has a hand in winning the pen has now been taken off when he should never have been on, the pen decision was given, but the error was spitted before the restart of play for the PK, the ref boots LAFF AFF AND HE STILL GIVES THE PEN.....the ref still let the PK stand.... madness

the home fans are calling for a pass back..... they don't want a goal like this and they're not happy with the admin error either in terms of the 6th sub debackle.....

in a show of no sporting integrity whatsoever the JB player steps up and slams the ball home.... good finish to be fair

Darvel are going crazy the ref has spoilt the game......

Carnage all round the home fans at the dugout are disgusted

Lie, goal-less in recent weeks, squeezed past Blastie 0-1. Home side bullied manager-less, winless, down to the bare bones visitors throughout. Aided by a clue-less ref, Blasties should've got more out of the game. Spencey was furious. Visitors gritted it out with only 15 players, some not fully fit. New manager will have every bit as tough a battle when Buffs visit next week.

Fingers crossed they don’t reach the final

I heard Murdie had a fallout with a few supporters after St Cadocs defeat
Sending on 6 subs won't help his case!

Was at Largs v Glenafton today. Largs by far better side but baffled as to why the Glenafton second was ruled out.
