The Juniors - 24/25 Season

Kilbie 2 Talbot 0

Talbot created a decent chance before EK scored. Created 2 more before halftime but didn't really lay a glove on EK in the second half

That SI Ferry is a bit of a dick

Was happy to see that result come through, I looked at Cambuslangs remaining games and was struggling to see where they would pick up many points
It's a mixed bag towards the end of the season playing a couple of teams just above and then a couple up the top of the table.

Dangers is that x2 teams below us have 3 games in hand, which may run it all down to the wire.

Decent crowd ?? , hope the Bot fans gave the chicken man a warm welcome

Hard to tell how many were there. They didn’t announce it as far as I know.

Mick did take some stick. And wasn’t slow at dishing it back out. Which is fair enough imo.

Not a lot of chances but ormiston deserved their win. Apart from Lochgelly everyone else is beating everyone else. No consistency from anyone.

A goal down at Maybole in 6secs, 'lie recovered with 2 second half goals in a hard fought & open game. 1st half was poor on a grassy but hard, bumpy surface. Both teams raised standards in 2nd 45. Good luck to 'Bole for the rest of their season. Lie home to Buffs on Wed.

I didn’t know David Templeton and David Goodwillie both played for Glasgow United. They lost 4-2 to Ardeer though.

Better make sure the pitch is playable this time when the Buffs come calling

Went along to Newlandsfield and was frankly depressed at how poor the standard has become. A goal from a penalty from two sides who looked as if they could have played another 90 minutes and not create a chance from open play.

Saw the footage of the penalty incident. Didn’t look like a foul in the box. Didn’t look like a foul at all.

Totally agree re-quality on show.
Another grievance, pitch used to be in great condition even late season.
Not so now .
It's had a fungal problem from the winter. Basically the grass all died in Cold in February. Second last home game so had been scarified and prepped as we have a fortnight without a game. Been a real challenge this year. We had got awarded the second top banding of pitch earlier in the season so was up there with the pros until November.

Referee was a new low even for this level and completely not helped by his assistants. The fact no one wants to referee means you get fast tracked kids who don't know how to talk to folk or run a game. Really really poor and I don't normally pick on officials.

That's probably one of the three worst games we have had this season. It was dreadful and 45 Davie Winters in midfield for Ben's and Pollok still couldn't get by them. Can't wait for the end of the season TBH.

Game was dog meat , game decided by Chris Mcglauglinand who put in such a one side performance he must be a fast track .. in a season of extremely poor refs he’s deffo top two

Whilst the committee where at the ormiston game, some scum decided to break into Livingston utd ground and spray paint the dug outs and buildings. Damage was also done to the building with doors being torn off a storage unit. Feral scum. Police have been notified. The committee are all volunteers who are dedicated to running the club.

Was at Petershill and Kilwinning, finished 2-1 Kilwinning Rangers
Pretty much ends any chances Peasy had of promotion, even if 4th place ends up going up too. We nearly got a draw right at the death, but it would have been a bit of a mugging as Buffs had more clear cut chances and hit the woodwork twice.

We were right in the mix at the start of February, but we've produced the biggest bed shitting since Spud in the first Trainspotting film. Our home form is horrendous, we've only won 4 out of 13 at home all season in the league, and have lost our last 5 at home.

Junior Cup semi first leg on Saturday - Johnstone Burgh vs Largs, 5:30 KO. Should be a decent tie!

Other semi first leg isn't until next week, Tranent vs Drumpchapel

You making excuses already?
Arthurlie V The Buffs game off tonight

What did I tell you game called off due to the pitch
Seems you are trying everything to avoid playing the Buffs - that twice in a couple of weeks now the pitch has been unplayable- all those games in hand are piling up, that’s around 7 or 8 games now that’ll need fitted in between now and the end of season

The fixture back-log may well impact our promotion push. You'll be OK.
If Renfrewshire/Barrhead gave a toss, maybe 'lie could be gifted a lovely, modern, well-appointed stadium like yours.
Meantime, see you on the 28th, Joseph.

I think you’ll need to check the weather forecast for Monday 28th before arranging to meet anyone :rolleyes::rolleyes:

Draw probably a fair result overall.
A game of two parts.

I thought Thistle would win after their showing in the first half hour but we really needed to be two goals up and only got one.

In the last 20 mins Talbot may have got the winner so honours even.

An interesting game. Thistle rested a number of players, as did Talbot. The West of Scotland Cup Final between the two at Broadwood on the 27th April should be a great match.

Mon the Theesel! :)

I believe the semi final second leg has been moved to May 18th which is in the middle of my holiday so won’t make it. Just need to hope Thistle get the job more or less done in the first leg

Also missing Cup Final v Talbot. Not best pleased but can’t get out of family party !!
