Agreed, building additional pressure at this point of the season is ridiculous.

There is a pressure on each game to win it - keep all of the pressure in small chunks like that and it inspires you... few that the rest of the season rests on each game and it becomes overwhelming.

To be honest, the last thing any team needs when going for the first league title in a number of years is an unbeaten run hanging over it.
We do however need a bit of a points buffer to accommodate any dropped points.
