I think under Gio he’s a lot less restricted in his play, he’s allowed to play that free role in midfield. Under Gerrard we were a very structured team.

I'll admit, I wasn't too sure of the big guy when he first arrived at Ibrox. I always had the notion that he was playing well within himself. I reckon he's now genuinely emerging into a top class player and unafraid to try things on the pitch that he maybe didn't have the confidence to try before. He's in blistering form right now.

Can't argue with that.

He playing at a consistently high level that might be attracting vultures from the EPL and maybe further afield.
