Teams giving 100% effort and never lacking in motivation to stop/beat us is nothing new, it’s always been that way whether we are in a dominant position, bang average or struggling, it’s a fact of football life in Scotland.
I can understand especially when things are going wrong why some bears are keen to play this aspect down as it just sounds like excuses and weakness and we’ve always looked inward at what we can do better to change results and overcome the obstacles in our way.
We are at a point in our rebuilding if you want to call it that where some of the players we have at the moment in the squad are not quite good enough evidently to handle the unique demands placed on Rangers teams which means performing to a very consistent level in the majority of games be they starters or subs but it’s a mixture of inexperience, lack of mental and certain cases physical toughness.
Yes we have good reason to complain about the officiating too on an all too regular basis but to cut through these various factors and simplify things for everybody, when we have sufficient quality in depth, all the diddy teams and diddy refs...the cheats included will not be able to stop us.
Sadly, getting back to the level a Rangers team NEEDS to be at in order to handle everything thrown at us is proving extremely difficult because of what’s happened to us and having to play constant catch up, there’s no telling how long this shit is going to continue for either and that is extremely worrying and a big problem too as it’s a lot of added pressure all round but we have to keep fighting and find a way.
