Concerned you shall be.
Not so sure. Barron will make his decision on where he's going this week I'd imagine. Back from his holidays and will want to be in his new surroundings to settle in as early as possible and get to know his new manager and team mates. Still might not be us he ends up at but I do think that one will be resolved one way or the other before next week.

If a fee has been agreed as intimated for the Moroccan striker I don't see that taking too much longer as preliminary discussions with the players representatives will already have happened to gauge what he was looking for before a confirmed bid going in. Again, I think that will resolve itself one way or the other before next week. N'siala was two days I think from the name being mentioned to being announced for example. Someone else posted earlier that he isn't in the preliminary Olympic squad either so would be straight into the training ground if he signs.

Add in Cortes and Danilo back into full training, N'siala joining 1st of July, Kelly probably signing as soon as Scotland's Euro exploits are over (could be as soon as the weekend) and very few of our existing players involved elsewhere over the summer and it's not the tumbleweed scenario portrayed by some in terms of available bodies for the first day of preseason as suggested. We've lost seven players from the last squad that trained, McGlaughlin, Jack, Lundstram, Barisic, Roofe, Sima and Silva (2 regular starters from 7 since January) and we will have added Jefte, Danilo, Cortes, minimum to that list available for next Monday.

Summers with tournaments are not the summers to be doing rebuilds. Even if you’re not trying to sign players at the euros. There agents are away. There never was any realistic chance of us getting a barrel load of signings in before pre season

I agree that the manager probably doesn't set out to buy someone as "backup"

I thought you were having a dig saying Barron isn't good enough. If we are interested he'll be one seen as someone who we can hope will hit the ground running but on the other hand is young and we can work with him. Experienced players will be brought in aswell.
I was talking more in general than specifically about CB.
My post was a bit unclear

Funny how we see valuations differently, I said back in January if we were to go for him it should be £1.5 million max. The boy is a natural finisher but other parts of his game are not as good as I thought.
Maybe that's why I'm in a shite job and not a football manager mind you :)
Better valuation than some other guy that said 750k max :)) I'm just so sick of us needing 10/15 shots a game for a goal and Shanks would definitely get more chances for us than he did with Hearts.

Lovelace, Rice, King, Lowry, Fraser, McKinnon, Webster, Nsio, Stevens
What a chance to go and learn, what a chance to go grasp an opportunity under a Coach who brings through young talents.
Hopefully they are fit and raring to go
This is my hope too. I hope the above have spent their time off keeping themselves ticking over and are chomping at the bit to impress Clement. Fresh start for all

Roos leaving Aberdeen. Would he be a good back up option?

It would be to my liking if we were to make a signing today.

That, a little sunshine, and an ice-cold can or two of Pepsi Max Cherry would undoubtedly put a spring in my step.
Max Aarons, from the Cherries (Bournemouth) to replace Tav, who's heading to Saudi in a megabucks deal?

Talented attacking fullback with a good engine who loves to get forward. He's mates with Cantwell too. Not been been a huge success at Bournemouth following a £7m move last summer. Only made 13 starts for Bournemouth and barely played this last 6 months, though some of it was due to injury. Could be affordable due to that and still has a lot of potential.

Some of their fans think he's for the off, comment from one of their forums:

"I was a bit disappointed in Aaron's last season tbf.....not sure he suits the system as our full backs don't get forward alot.....defensively he's an absolute liability."

He's my guess.

Yeah but you'd expect us to be able to convince Connor Barron to sign up !TK have gone wuiet
You'd expect our offer to be within budget and towards the top of the boys shortlist, the boy can ride it out for another 2 1/2 months to make the right move for him, he holds all the cards.
As long as we have a deadline to move on from it all because unfortunately we don't have 2 1/2 months to do business.

Good theory Albus, plausible. It could’ve happened just like that if was not for the fact that @Lord Summerisle is a teasing bastard. The prosecution rests.
