Official The Summer 2025 Rangers Window Rumours and Deals - Read First post for Warning

Like the manager appointment, the club are keeping things very tight with no leaks. This is good, imo.

We’re all just going to have to trust the club that they’re working away on moving on those players with no futures and replacing them with ones who will elevate the quality that can win us the league.
All the Dessers talk is coming from the Greek side and his agent, nothing at all from Rangers or those close to the club.

Any potential signing talk for us will be coming from the players side and we probably won't know that it's a goer until the day of the announcement.

My opinion on Danilo when he played alongside Iganame, Danilio's press was really good and both looked excellent when they played together.
I've not looked into his injury record at his previous clubs, but he's had some really bad luck here to curtail his game time.
You might be right, but I'm still hopeful after a full pre season he offers a lot more this season as I think he's a very good player.
Time will tell.
I agree with this.
Hope he gets an injury free run next season as I think he could contribute.

For our midfield to get chances they need a striker that helps them by moving and linking play in a way that they get chances.

Our only run of form where was actually played some decent stuff last season featured Igamane and Danilo upfront.

I’m not blaming Dessers for all our problems and I don’t have anything against him, but I disagree with your last sentence.

More was made of his misses and poor performances as they tended to come when it really mattered and the volume of easy missed chances didn’t help.

If we end up selling Igamane this summer, then there’s a really strong argument that switching him to left wing contributed to it. Our most fluent was when he was in CF and Danilo was pressing.

The whole team has to change because Dessers can’t link play.

This.

I think Igamane was always a very short term signing in order to make a quick profit.

Worked both ways as we gave him a platform and he upped his profile.

Clear that the lad sees himself away from Scotland so hopefully we get our money and he is happier elsewhere. All parties move on and are satisfied.

But yes, he was messed about in terms of his position in the team. You could sense and understand his frustration.

Scott McDermott says it's a rumour he's heard and it's a transfer "11 years in the making" because Toffolo was a kid at Norwich when Martin was playing.

Still think Toffolo is exactly the profile we should be avoiding.

That reporter has had some right belters published recently. Not sure what his leanings are but I think his “sources” are the voices in his head

You sure about that?

Only, the penalty he did take was against a team wearing orange from Dundee and it was at Ibrox.

Seems to me "what we do know" has a different meaning to what I think it does.

Sorry your right, I had it in my head it was the last game of the season.

One of the best things about FF is when posters have that weird thing that literally no player on the planet can improve or push on after signing for a much bigger club than the one they were at before.

Aye well over the last number of seasons I have been saying the same thing and as you will probably know we have not been that good .

Would imagine we want to see interest in some of our players going out be firmed up before committing.

Dessers, Raskin, Igamane likely to go and make us a fair whack.

Add in some fringe players also.

In reality we will need about 9 starting players right away

In what way is that clear?
I've said previously on here that it's not a secret around the training centre that the lad and his agent have been looking at options to move.

As mentioned, France is generally the preference.

I don't expect to see him at Rangers beyond this window. It's a shame as I think he is a fantastic talent, but it is what it is. We make money, he gets his move. Job done.

this outlet saying no deal agreed as yet and they have a backup option for a striker if talks with Rangers break down.

FFS, if that’s the limit of our ambition the 49rs and the board can take Russell Martin and feck right off.
09:25 on the opening morning of the transfer window, fucking sensational.

There will be people on here who will genuinely post like this today and mean it.

I don't see any signings which involve a transfer fee being announced until 1st July at the earliest as the club will want their expenditure in next years accounts.

We'll get Lyall Cameron next week and maybe other Bosman signings but that'll be all until the following week.

The 1st week of training will be a reduced squad as all those who played for their countries at the end of the season will have additional time off so no Souttar, Raskin, Diomande, Barron, Dessers, Igamane, Bajrami or Matondo.

Charai is new manager of westerlo which just happens to be frigans team. With the way rangers worded his exit being mutual etc could possibly be linked to us completing the deal for frigan? Maybe waiving the compo or something
Completely agree.

Sacha Tavolieri's twitter post about it says "agreement found between all parties in order to make it happen".

Could it be that instead of paying us compensation, it'll offset part of the Frigan deal? I'd like to think so.

Does announcing it make any difference?

We could announce them before that but have them join the club on the 1st of July.

We'll soon be at the stage where any signings from outside the UK will run into that sort of time anyway, when waiting on work permits etc.

The plot has been lost by so many on here I'm not even sure the ever positive Tazza is joking or has joined the negative cult now!
Tazz can be “a tit” sometimes but on this one he’s at it.
Doesn’t know how to be negative.
Painfully positive most of the time.
Only last week he suggested that Danilo might still be able to contribute!

Probably just reading too much into it, with the language thing in this case causing a bit of confusion
