Read this article in the sun online, to me it looks very much like a campaign to ramp up talk of an abuse scandal at Ibrox.

So are Hollicom and the sun joined at the hip with this shite?

SICK FANTASY Ladbrokes SPFL fantasy football hijacked by sickos using sectarian and child abuse slurs as team names

SICKOS shamed the SPFL’s fantasy footie contest by using sectarian and child abuse slurs as team names.

Dozens of sides in Ladbrokes’ £10,000 tournament include the words “fenian” and “hun”, while other vile monikers are linked to TV beast Jimmy Savile and the Celtic Boys Club scandal.

Dave Scott, of anti-bigotry charity Nil By Mouth, said: “It’s a depressing indictment of where we are.”

And a footie sex abuse victim tonight accused warped fans of mocking the scandal with the vile fantasy team names.

The ex-Rangers youth, 51, said online bigots were making light of paedophile traumas by entering sides called “Big Jock Knew” and “Savile’s U9s” in the SPFL contest.

And anti-sectarian campaigners also hit out at teams featuring the names of Irish paramilitary groups and slogans.

The victim — targeted aged 16 by dead Ibrox scout Harry Dunn — said: “It’s not something you should joke about. Some of these people trivialise it. They need to get a grip.

“They don’t know how bad it was for guys who were abused.

“People shouldn’t be posting stuff about it thinking it’s a funny team name.
“Don’t people have the mental capability to come up with something else than this?”

SPFL sponsors Ladbrokes launched the Premiership Fantasy Football contest last month. Gamers are given a budget of £180million to spend on 11 players and five subs in a bid to win £10,000.

Promos for the popular game — thought to have around 20,000 entrants — included a photoshoot featuring all 12 top-flight captains.

But mini-leagues have been plagued with dozens of disgusting team names.

There were titles referencing telly paedo Jimmy Savile, including ‘Savile’s U9s’ and ‘Savile’s Young Boys’.

And 21 sides used the phrase ‘Big Jock Knew’ — a slur targeting claims Lisbon Lions boss Jock Stein failed to report Celtic Boys Club abuse to cops in the 1970s

Another side was ‘Tiocfaidh ar lads’, in a nod to IRA slogan ‘Tiocfaidh Ar La’, meaning ‘Our day will come’. Others name-checked hunger striker Bobby Sands.

There was a series of teams labelled ‘Fenian army’ and one called ‘Hunskelper’ among the top 50 sides.

Numerous sides had ‘FTP’ or ‘F*** the Pope’ in their title, while some showed support for Northern Irish loyalist groups the UDA and UVF. Another was christened ‘F*** Leigh Griffiths’.

Dave Scott, of anti-bigotry charity Nil By Mouth, called it “depressing”.

He added: “It’s a shame people can’t enjoy a simple fantasy football league without it being taken over by bigotry.

“I’m sadly not surprised by it. People just need to grow up.

“Some people seem determined to make Scottish football look foolish.”

The SPFL today removed a series of dodgy monikers and replaced them with “Team Name” after being contacted by The Scottish Sun.

League chiefs warned if players don’t change to a more acceptable permanent name they’ll be thrown out of the game.

An SPFL spokesman said: “The game rules specify that offensive names will be removed and players that refuse to amend them will see their accounts suspended.”

The game is understood to be organised by a French tech firm on behalf of the SPFL.

A source said: “The company sift out the vast majority of unacceptable names but obviously some do fall through the net.”

Ladbrokes was contacted for comment.

Scottish Sun columnist Bill Leckie yesterday said Celtic and Rangers fans’ sectarian and bullying behaviour must be acted on by SFA and SPFL chiefs.

And Gers recently revealed plans to send fans caught singing sectarian songs on rehabilitation courses in a new scheme.

Attempts by the mhedia in Scotland to equate a few allegations against an odd short-term member of the coaching staff to the systematic long term abuse and cover-up at Celtic involving the entire management team and board are disgraceful.

It needs to be examined holistically and brought out in the open. Sadly, not enough action is being taken and despite trawling for evidence they are never going to find enough dirt on us - which seems to be what they desire before they dare really call it out.

Who. Gives. A. Shït.

(The article, not the OP).

The over-policing and controversy around people saying naughty stuff online is depressingly monotonous. These aren’t even comments directed at anyone. It’s dafties trying to be funny or wind folk up.

EDIT: Missed the 'Ibrox scout Harry Dunn' stuff on first pass – it's pretty clear what they're doing.

So, with everything that's going on, and everything that's happened in the past, they've managed to find a comment from one boy who was allegedly abused at Ibrox.
My first instinct is to believe a claimant. My thought process is that if I don't, I automatically become like them.
So, say this lad was abused, and yet Celtic facilitated the abuse of potentially hundreds of kids, the Sun find a comment from one lad abused at Ibrox. Strange that. Do they have any comments from any abused Celtic boys on anything at all? Or have they ever?

It has been very clear over the last couple of weeks that Hollicom are using The Sun as their puppets. The sheer amount of focus on Rangers and away from Celtic has been truly staggering. That said, The Sun aren't notorious for their ethics or unbiased journalism. In fact, they usually do what they are told but someone who is nothing short of a pile of scum - in this case, Celtic and their new PR company.

Would be a fantastic opportunity for another newspaper to go on the attack. Sadly, they're all too busy writing their own negative shit about us.

Top 3 stories currently on Scottish sun online:

1) this joke of a story
2) attempt to unsettle our captain as we are ‘eyeing a replacement’
3) Morelos ‘cheat scandal’

Think the agenda is pretty clear....
Squeaky bum time for them.
It's the tried and tested way for them, deflecting and denying.
They're so thick, that they can't see it 40 plus years down the line.
Damage has been done and no matter what happens their reputation and many legends of their club are sullied forever.

I'm sure they're good at what they do but this board has an unhealthy obsession with this Hollicom mob.

They aren't an all powerful media mogul who has scuddies of all the editors at Scotlands papers for christ sake, just a company doing a job they've been employed to do.

They option is there for Rangers to do similar if we wish.

The Sun uses these anonymous sources every day. It usually means that they were too lazy to actually go out and search for someone with actual knowledge

This Hollicom mob seem to have become some sort of FF bogeyman to explain every anti Rangers or pro Celtic story that gets released in the media. Obviously anti Rangers and pro Celtic stories didn't ever happen until Hollicom were hired.

The person ( I think NBM person) is the story saying he was abused or claimed to be abused while Harry Dunn worked at Rangers and while he was at Rangers?

It's no longer up for discussion, Big Jock Knew end of. The covering up of child rape by Celtic as a club is just as bad as the original abuse. The abusers were obviously sick to do the things the did but those who covered it up made a conscious decision to cover up the rape of children. These people must be brought to justice. we must have justice for Celtics victims. No amount of deflection will stop this.

I always now think when I see another smear campaign or negative article regarding us that they are working really hard to hide something.

It’s damage limitations as you know and I know and more folk each day are more aware of their past.

They will never shake this shame off and they way they still act now in hiring a company(who have been there a good year)under the radar tells you what a horrible little nasty secret they have, for now!

So you’re a “ yob” if you believe big Jock knew?

Arseholes.
No, but you are a twat if you call your fantasy football team some variant on it.

But that notwithstanding, the Sun are clearly being fed stories and content by Hollicom. That’s not an “obsession” with Hollicom, that’s just self-evident. Too many negative stories, too many of the same reporters names popping up against them, too much deflection, too many of the same phrases and carefully crafted “distancing” of Celtic from their guilt.

The accusations against Dunn seem to have came from nowhere, right when they are in the middle of an abuse investigation

I remember similar happening when Torbett was first on trial in the 90s

agreed, it’s getting embarrassing like the level 5 pish the time talk about.

If they control the media in the way people think they do they are wasted in football.

I get what you are saying here, and don't do this myself. However the only point to add is that people have used current media situations in these team names for a while. From Saville case, to Fritzl family, to unfortunately Madeline McCann also.

Sick, twattish, whatever you want to call it. But by no means unique to Rangers fans. And definitely not invented by Rangers fans on 2019 Fantasy Football leagues.

To base a story on it just seems... coincidence in these current times??

It'll make it easy to get a full public enquiry if Rangers are targeted.

Hollicommunion are playing a dangerous game if they think this deflects from the paedophile ring operating and endorsed by CFC directors.

Simple answer. Get the Enquiry out in the open and hammer the paedos and their conspirators.
This and if The Sun wasn't riddled with pederast protectors it's what they would be leading with and campaigning for. Perhaps 'Why did ScotNatzis specifically exclude religious and sporting organisations from their inquiry?'. Or 'What's the status on secret Celtic probe?'.
Instead they print a blatant and clumsy 'look, a squirrel' ploy concocted by gormless half-wits.

They know the shit storm surrounding all things Celtic, endemic disease for fifty years but still they try to drag anyone from society as parity to their predicament. The depths of depravity this club and it's allies will go to is mind boggling.

I've always been of the opinion that Rangers are right to not get involved in going after Celtic with regards Cetlic's paedophilia cover up that has shamed them for half a century.

It does appear clear though that Celtic, via their shameful PR hire of Hollicom, are quite happy to get the mud to stick to as many other clubs as possible so the entire thing can be lumped as a "Scottish football issue" and everyone gets the same punishment (if there is one at all) and remarks on how to deal with it going forward from a child protection point of view.

You'd expect nothing less of the rancid cunts though.

As others have said, it just strengthens the need for a full independent inquiry though.

The Times is an actual newspaper. The Sun, Record, Evening Times etc are no more than ridiculous parodies that lift ‘stories’ from social media to get click-bait for advertising. I wouldn’t line a budgies cage with their pathetic crap.

#45
I'm actually pretty happy with this. The bheasts are obviously spending the biscuit hip money on propaganda as opposed to getting in a replacement for the lego muncher.

We all know the truth. We know Celtic knew all along and Lawell knows to this day. They're in it up to their scummy eyeballs.

Keep writing to your MPs, advocacy groups and that bawbag of a justice secretary.

Not sure how the apparent mocking of child abuse is sectarian. A big fckin IRA banner sanctioned by a club, THAT is sectarian.

Sick tarrier bastards will stop at nothing, they have absolutely no shame. Deflecting paedophile activity has always been a hugely significant part of their very being.
Hints and innuendo are their stock in trade for trying to deflect attention away from their own sordid crimes onto innocent others. We've long come to expect this of the RC cult and its associates, however, when so called business professionals stoop to this level on their behalf you really have to wonder about their character and morals.
Shame on them.
You better believe if they had a single bit of evidence of any of their claims regarding other clubs they would have been plastered all over the papers years ago by their many shameless mhedia friends.

#50
They have a photo of saville with a red, white and blue jacket. They are up to their necks in the mire and they are throwing about all the lies to try and deflect.
Everyone knows who the evil perpetrators are in this sordid affair.
