A POLICE investigation is under way after five cops were injured during Rangers' match against Feyenoord at the Ibrox Stadium.
Around 2,000 Dutch supporters - including one wearing a Celtic shirt - made the trip to Scotland for the Europa League showdown.

The visiting fans chanted "f*** you Rangers" as they marched towards the 50,817 capacity ground ahead of kick-off.
And chaos erupted at half-time when the Feyenoord supporters tried to break through the segregation barrier.

One punter managed to force his way through the police wall, but was later grabbed by cops and escorted out of the ground.
Another fan was spotted wearing a green and white Celtic shirt as he gestured towards the home end.
Five cops were injured during the explosive Europa League tie - which has led to an investigation taking place.
A spokeswoman for Police Scotland: "An investigation is under way after five incidents of police assault within the west stand of Ibrox stadium during the Rangers v Feyenoord match on September 19.

The sun are liars, they always have been and that will never change. Probably hate us even more because of the LFC connection with our staff.

Where does it say Rangers fans were at fault?

The Sun = Scum. The “Fuck you Rangers” chant seems to be in quite a few
reports from the Scum. No criticism whatsoever.

Can you point out where the article matches your thread title.

From my seat in GR I saw multiple mentally challenged scarfs. Few Tricolours. mentally challenged top and them singing about the scum

So if they are offended with one Ajax flag then phuck them

Sun should be banned as well as the Record for a start

The headline 'Rangers and Feyenoord fans clash'

Fake news.

Right. I see it now.

The headline suggesting fans "clashed", which of course they didn't. Feyenoord fans attacked the police. That's all that happened

Fair point. Highly misleading and bears no resemblance to the truth that is surprisingly factually reported in the article beneath the misleading headline

Rangers have to start issuing newspapers and tv/radio stations who print or broadcast blatant lies about us a first and final warning and let them know one more untrue story will result in them being barred from Ibrox and from interviewing any of our playing or back room staff.

Off topic here, does Stevie G let this scum rag into his press conferences?
With them being banned in Liverpool.

Rangers fans take the piss out a bunch of dicks in the away end who chanted %^*& you Rangers on their walk to Ibrox. They then charge the police. How is that our fault?

That headline is painting us all as hooligans who battered cops and stewards. I always think I couldn't hate that rag anymore, for a variety of reasons, then they outdo themselves. Scum.

If this headline was about an individual and it was blatantly misleading the public in a libellous manner, would it not then be a matter for the courts?
Does this same remedy not exist for a group of people similarly maligned by fallacious and harmful reporting?

If that headline is accurate and you read it at face value, it has Rangers and Feyenoord fan which is even worse. It’s poor English of course, what else would you expect, but it doesn’t mention Rangers fan(s), it mentions Rangers and a solitary Feyenoord fan.

Get on them Rangers.

Finished with the sun not buying it again, they keep printing negative non stories about our club. Had enough of them and the record which I stopped buying years ago.
We should be like the people of Liverpool who don’t buy the sun, fair reporting I don’t mind, but their reports are mostly negative towards our club.
NO MORE

The article is pretty clear about where the trouble came from but that headline is surely actionable.

I, and I think most folk, scan over most papers at the headlines and only actually read articles when the headline text catches my attention. Anybody reading that headline in isolation will conclude that Rangers fans were at least partly to blame.

But it’s no more that you expect from an organisation that dwells in the swamp.
